So...I've been living in this house for the past 15 months...

From June 07 to May 08 things worked great. Then...less than a week before the landlord left to go on deployment, the electric started to act up. It would flicker downstairs, then go out for an hour or so.
The LL and I troubleshot the system, only to realize that somewhere ckt 1 was crossed with ckt 2. Unfortunatly, by then, he had to go underway and left me with the issue. Oh, and what we realized [and electricians cringe now] was that 2 bedrooms, a large microwave, half the kitchen, the dining room, and living room were all on one 15amp ckt.
By mid-June I managed to trace the ckts out underneath of the house [it sits on short concrete pillars] and did a few small repairs. After that, everything worked great...until TS Hanna hit.
After the storm, started to have issues with ckt 1 and 2 again, with short losses of power. Add to that, I now started to have issues with losing power to the central AC unit.
Now, the power is out almost constantly, with only brief periods of operation. I'm starting to wonder if its the box itself. If so, thats going to be a couple hundred dollar replacement -sigh-.

So now, I don't have a range, oven, microwave, or washing machine...BAH!

Aw, honey. I'm so sorry. I'd let you do laundry at my place, but the comute would kill you. I hope you get things straightened out soon.

Wow, that's some major house suckage.

Still, it could be worse. You could own the place.

Hope you get it resolved for not too much.

That sucks!

Did your landlord leave anybody in charge when he left? Where do you send the rent? If I were you, I'd call an electrician, get the problem taken care of professionally, and deduct the electrician's charge from your rent. Send a copy of the receipt from the electrician along with your rent, of course.
