the brits, much as the majority of them loved obama, didn't take kindly to his comments (even if they were facts) about being 'last in line' i.e not having the power it enjoyed as a part of the EEC to make trade deals and there was some vociferous backlash.

given the majority of brits think trump's worse than grits, and farage is one of the most obnoxious, racist, lying pieces of scum out there, and boris is looking worse and worse by the day as a leader, trump's interference is really only ever going to get a bad reaction.
