I read threads on all the Lit boards. I have to say, you do not see most of those types of threads on the football boards I post on sometimes.
Doing real time chat is hard, because like I said in my profile, my wife has ovarian cancer (and now possibly bone cancer.) She has trouble sleeping due to the pain, but when she wants me to do something for her, I jump (last night I went about 30miles inland to get her something to eat at 2:00 in the morning, and yes, it happens alot.) So it is easier to post here and answer things later......

LOL... well, it is hard to get my feelings hurt, and I doubt I will post much.
But your point is taken, I posted a little about myself so people know where I am coming from. I am not looking for companionship, or any "hookups". Just to talk about some interesting subjects to pass the time, and keep my mind off the real world.

Hi. Sorry to hear your slice of life is so rough at this time. I understand wanting a little escapism.
I'll share a piece of advice on how to make this place more enjoyable: use the "ignore" button. There are a few folks here that are just not worth the time or electrons.
Some of the better threads here, IMHO: As the Hospital Pervs, The Isolated Picture Thread, I like Ships, The Cool Science Stuff Thread.

To say I am escaping the real world is not quite true. A better way to put it is it is a distraction to my reality. I will PM people just to say something to them, but I really do not expect a response. I understand that there are people on here that are hurting as well (of course SOME of it is their OWN fault.... at least in the BDSM boards.......)
