Seeing a LOT of new faces around the past few days, which is awesome.

This forum always seems to ebb and flow; quiet for weeks then BOOM, busy.

Anyway, figured I'd welcome the new people and give you all a chance to do what all writers LOVE to do: talk about yourself!

What brought you here? What started you writing stories? How did you find the forum?

What kind of stories do you write? What kinds do you enjoy reading?

And most importantly: What is the airspeed velocity of an unladden swallow?

I've been reading Lit for a couple of decades now but only recently started trying to write my own.

I was mostly motivated by the feeling that I had explored this place pretty thoroughly and not found very many of the stories I wanted to read. Also, the feeling that I could do better than some of what I saw published.

I'd describe my oeuvre as "loving monogamous dommes in heels". Although after a few months on these forums I find myself thinking about vampires (thanks to @AWhoopsieDaisy) and noncon (@MediocreAuthor ) and cuckoldry (everyone talking about LW), not things I had ever been interested in before and mostly not things I ever want to experience in real life.

That's pretty common; my story is very similar; long time reader who finally decided to write my own after realizing the only way to read my specific fantasies was to write them myself.

First off, thank you for the vote of approval. I really, really enjoyed Asked and Answered, so hearing that you've been pondering my work makes me very happy.

Secondly, however, if we were restricted in our writings to things "we want to experience in real life" then my stories would be an endless series of sweet and loving, married, monogamous PIV sex, (mostly missionary) with a bit of doggy style when I was feeling wild, and a fair amount of oral.

That stuff is fantastic, irl... But stories require drama, and few things are as dramatic as noncon.

That said, basically NOTHING in my stories are "things I ever want to experience in real life."
