Hiya'll,

A while back I advised some of you privately that I might be away for a time due to a business trip-slash vacation that would take me far, far from computers and this forum.

Understatement of the year. I'm not one to bear crosses in public; suffice it to say various job-related, dot-com, and apartment-related changes took place between then and now, consuming no small bit of my attention. In the shuffle, various Internet connections were put aside and forgotten.

I did get that all sorted out though, and my connection is as solid as it's ever been. However I've been reluctant to return to this forum. The threads I abandoned, the messages unanswered! Is it wrong to feel like a heel for skipping out without a reasonable goodbye? The shame, the shame.

I don't know. I do know that when, a couple weeks ago, I peeked in on this site anonymously and saw myself awarded that (completely undeservingly) 'Best New Talent' thing that I couldn't long put off my red-faced return. No way.

Sniff, sniff! I'm sorry! I love y'all!
