Weird random shit

Sneezing when looking at the sun. I see it more with my husband and baby than I do myself, I don't sneeze too often...but when the sun hits either of their faces they sneeze. Sometimes my little bunkin sneezes multiple times in a row until his face is out of the sun.

Post bizarre and inexplicable occurrences and hope that SOMEONE has a semi-plausible rationale!

Mine #1: why is it that out of the 500+ songs in this playlist, the one it started on (totally random selection, no preference for order) is the one that I had in my head at the time? This happens so fucking often, I'm not even kidding. A song I've had going around and around in my head (usually because of random word association) but haven't heard in 6 years, suddenly comes on the radio. Unfuckinbelievable.

#2: Why is yawning contagious? I just typed it and I'm yawning. Whazzafuck?

#1 - You have digital telekenesis and you don't know it?
#2 - You would make a good hypnotism subject.

I do the yawn thing too, but I can't make my MP3 player play songs I am thinking of.

Stop it. Now you have half of lit yawning.

#1: Why is it that talking about itchy noses makes my nose itch?

TS you just made my day! I thought I was the only person that happened to. It's nice to know I am not quite as weird as I thought. Usually I only sneeze once or twice right as I walk out into the sunlight (always from a building though, shade doesn't count for some reason) and then I'm good til I leave another building.

my husband sneezes in the sun, said "doesn't that always happen to you, too?" and I told him he was crazy. Cool, live n' learn, he's vindicated now.

:p Noooooo! You people are crazy! Now I'm yawning and my nose itches! lol

Hey. How ticklish are you? Can you feel me tickling you? My finger hovering over your ribs? And then slowly, gently reaching down and wiggling? Can we count your ribs?

I always sneeze in the sun, or any bright light. I don't like sunlight, I'm more of a night time person and avoid the sun like the plague. So when I am forced out of my hole, I spend the first couple minutes sneezing.

My friend R does this thing where she glides her hands less than an inch above your back. You can feel this kinetic energy going from your skin to hers and it really makes you writhe, but she never touches you. It's way relaxing and groovy.

But yours didn't work.

It does on my sister. I can do that to her over the phone. Problem is when I do that she hangs up on me. *pouts* Totally ruins my fun.

I can sit accross the room from my sister and wiggle my finger like I'm tickling her and she gets all ticklish!

Ooh Quint, and I was thinking I've had weird radio stuff like that happen too... I'll be driving and a song will pop up in my head. I'll get tired of it so I'll turn on the radio and the song will be playing!

Maybe you have a filling that's receiving radio signals (this is documented in the literature, btw), and you're hearing the song at an extremely low level such that it's subliminal?

Of course, that doesn't explain Quint's issue, which is apparently with an mp3 player... that is probably just some form of telekinesis.

Ok, speaking of weird things people can do, when the phone rings I can tell who it is. Well, sorta, I gotta know the person and well. But I can be over at a friends, and their phone will ring, and I'll yell out, "It's for me!", and I'm always right.

In Jr High my sister and I weren't allowed to answer the phone during the day unless it was my mom. Sometimes I'd pick up the phone and say "Hi, mom.". She made me quit doing that - it was freaking her out.

My mom does that too gracie!!! I don't have many fillings, I didn't think they were enough to pick up radio signals....hmmm

In an house my family used to live in my sister and I learned we could talk to eachother through the heater vents when we were sent to our rooms, they were connected under our floor :D

Going back to the music reference in the first post, at my current job, whatever song is playing as I get out of the car at the beginning of a shift is almost always playing when I get back in at the end of a shift.

Also, my best friend and I are both of Irish descent, and everytime we're in a car together with the local 80's station on, Come On Eileen, which is played by an Irish band, comes on. We call it "our song".

Strangely enough, if I am thinking about her (my best friend) when I get in the car by myself with the radio on the aforementioned 80's station, Dance Hall Days is always on.

the sneezy thing...

I asked my dr and she said that usually it's because the sun's in your eyes so you squint, which contracts the muscles between your eyes and the bridge of your nose, which makes you sneeze. There's a "tickle spot" up there, at the top of your nasal cavity behind the bridge of your nose that makes you sneeze, just like the tickle spot at the back of your throat that will make you cough sometimes. When you smoosh the tickle spot between/behind your eyes it makes you sneeze.

LOL That reminds me. Once when I was about 13 and Miss was 12 I was in my room and mom told me to call Miss to dinner. Miss' room was on the other side of the house, and I was feeling lazy so I thought I'd try something out. I went to my vent and yelled throught it "Dinner!"

Miss was still shaking an hour later. I scared her so bad she fell off the chair she was sitting at. >:)

I have phoned a friend at the exact time he was calling me. So we where both waiting for the ring tone that never came before figuring out we already connected :)
