Is There A Way For You Ta Post A List Of Trailer Park Rentals, Or A Link Ta Find Something Like That?

I Would Love Ta Be Just Outta The Way Of The Strip, Somewhere A Little Deeper Into The Desert So I Can See The Stars In Nevada:D

Anyone Care Ta Share The Rental?
LOL
Target Practice In The Desert...How Cool:)

Will we be near any of those world-famous ranches? I heard about a "Bunny Ranch" or some shit like that.

Those Whorehouses

Are A Little Outta Vegas, I Think.

I Thought About It And Came To The Conclusion That I Would Rather Do The Under The Stars, Campfire Thing Than The Lux Hotel Spree:) Cheaper Too:D

Miles! You Gotta A Car? We Could Go And Check Out The Cat Houses Together:) LOL

Whorehouse information

RV parks in Southern Nevada

I'm not sure if the RV Parks are what you're looking for or not. (I know the whorehouse info is what Miles is looking for.)

I don't know of any trailer parks or short term rentals off-hand. The Las VegasOnline link has a link to real estate agents and moving to Las Vegas info pages.

There are a lot of smaller hotels that aren't listed on the web, although they're not much better than flop houses, or are outright dumps. One place I stayed in several times years ago (in North Las Vegas) is the Vegas Chalet Motel (Phone (702) 642-2115)

Vegas Chalet was generally about $10 a night cheaper than anywhere else in North Las Vegas or elsewhere in the valley in the early 80's, but I haven't done more than drive past it in the last 12 years -- it appears to be much the same as it was when I stayed there. I can stop in and check it out if being further from the strip than I am suits you.

Be careful about picking a motel that isn't listed on the web, as many of the small independents are little more than hot-bed hooker cribs.

There are some low rent apartments around that offer weekly rates but I don't know if they will actually rent for a single week.

sometimes i don't know whether i should be impressed by or scared of the stuff you know, Harold.

Camping In Las Vegas

If you are serious about camping, then here's a few links www.google.com turned up:

http://www.lasvegas.com/travel/outsidelv/camping/index.html

Inforamtion about the Toiyabe National Forest/ Mt Charleston as well as other campgrounds around the area. Kyle Canyon campground is 40-50 mi from the Strip.

(Lasvegas.com also has information on temporary housing under the apartments links, including two bed and breakfast that don't have websites.)

http://www.nps.gov/lame/campinfo.html

Information on camping in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area (about 20-30 miles from the Strip)

Information on the KOA kampground near Boulder City (also about 20 mi from the Strip) They do have tent sites if you don't have an RV. They have a shuttle bus to the strip too.

For everyone else, www.lasvegas.com has some other good links for planning your trip.

THANK YOU!

These Are Most Wonderful Links, Harold!

I Did However NOT Find The Shuttlebus Service:(
How The Hell Am I Gonna Get Back And Forth? I Suppose I Could Do A Little Hitchhiking...Anyone Ever See, THE HITCHER? EEK! lol

K, So Now All I Have Ta Do Is Choose Between Lake Mead & It's Wonderful Fishing Prospects, or Mount Charleston And It's Spectacular Scenery!

Oh Yeah, I Guess I'll Have Ta Find Cheap Airfare Too:)

Anyone Get A Good Deal That They Would Like Ta Share?

The shuttlebus is provided by KOA for people stayin in thier campground.

I suppose I could loan you my mountain bike, although there is a 1500 ft (relative elevation) pass between Las Vegas and Lake Mead, and a 3000-4000 foot climb to Kyle Canyon campground.

Depending on how much time you can spare for a camping trip in the desert, and how far away you are, Greyhound might get you here for $49 one-way if you reserve in advance.
