Okay, here's a mere 8,500 words from a couple of years ago to ponder. You asked for it, you've got it. (And Dj, she's a mere mortal college student, not a demon from hell! )

Actually, in my spare time (when not writing here) I started Charles Bukowski's Hollywood, loosely based on his experiences out there writing the screenplay for Barfly (starring Mickey Rourke and Faye Dunaway.) My apologies to other Lit writers. (Actually, he spent a good chunk of his life living in Los Angeles, so he didn't have to travel very far.)So many damn stories, so little time.
I try to bounce around and read from as many of you fine folks as I can.
More to add to my ever growing list I suppose
I feel like people are probably sick of me talking about this story, but Anjali from Red Scarf is an autistic woman who's big on astronomy and awful puns. The narrator, Sarah, is also autistic and unapologetic about info-dumping on topics like graph theory and shipping logistics in the middle of a porn story.Got any female characters that are unapologetically eccentric?

Thank you, I appreciate it. Like almost all fiction, I don't know how I came up with the idea, although it is entirely made up. However, all of the settings are accurate for the time period, including the final location at a coffee shop on Pelham Parkway. (It's now a Dunkin' Donuts.)Enjoyed this one.
I did have a demon on another site - I'd say it was male? - because they had a competition that sort of required a supernatural theme. Not that pleased with the results, because it was outside my usual interests.I think my most eccentric female character is Cozbi, from The Devil And Angel Em.
Of course, she's not just a woman, but a demon from hell, so it stands to reason she's more than a little out there in her sexual tastes.

Read this, it was great. You handled it well, too.To paraphrase Ellen Raskin, only the rich are eccentric. The poor are just crazy
Poor Sasha in Crazy Camping Neighbor is described as having "dissociative identity disorder with the other personality a drunk parrot"
Thanks so much, Smutty! Glad you enjoyed it. I tried to base the character's "eccentric" behavior on real conditions and avoid making her a Manic Pixie Dream Girl.Read this, it was great. You handled it well, too.
Mission accomplished. You did well. I liked that she was troubled, but not irredeemable. And she was still someone that he realized he could love. Thanks so much, Smutty! Glad you enjoyed it. That's me! I'm the girl who infodumps about Australian wildlife and the prevalence of frogs during sex! That's 100% an autistic thingSarah, is also autistic and unapologetic about info-dumping on topics like graph theory and shipping logistics in the middle of a porn story.
Australian wildlife is great! What's your favourite? That's me! I'm the girl who infodumps about Australian wildlife and the prevalence of frogs during sex! That's 100% an autistic thing
My favorite unfortunately went extinct due to human activity in the 2000s. There's an effort to bring it back by splicing DNA with its closest living relative.Australian wildlife is great! What's your favourite?
(I kinda wanna start a meetup thing where autistic people get to yammer about our interests without having to worry about whether we're sounding too enthusiastic about them)
You know, I knew all of those words and yet I was surprised to read the rest of your paragraph. Very cool indeed. It's the gastric brooding frog.
