So, I've got to get dressed up for tonight and I want to throw in some red so here's the question

I am wearing a black pinstripe suit. Do I go with the flashy, yet gangster-esque, red silk shirt and black tie or the more conservative white dress shirt and red tie?

Go with a red tie.

Really? But I distinctly remember it being cool 5 years ago at my prom. Me and five other guys, each in different colour silk shirts. Ah those were the days.

Of course, I'm a bit more conservative. But when I see a bright color silk shirt under a suit, I think.....bad call.

What if it wasn't silk? I'm sure I could just find a regular red dress shirt.
