Finally get my damn car fixed. :D

Oh, and not work for a day either. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh how relaxing it will be. :D

Good morning Mokum!:)

Lets see...you could see a movie, do a little Fall gardening, check out the flea market/junk shops/antique stores, have a dinner party or crash a dinner party,;) take a ride in the mountains and see all the beautiful fall colors and buy some apples and/or apple cider that you will spike immediately upon your return home....or go shopping.:)

Heck, I dunno, I'm nothing but a fluff poster, anyway.

Have a good one!

Ok you need to relax first

head to

De Dampkring
Handboogstraat 29 (638 07 05).
A must visit, this winner of several Hightimes Cannabis Cups. Though winning this prestigous award attracts a fair share of visitors from abroad, the Dampkring is all in all still very much a coffeeshop for locals, with a friendly staff which will answer any questions you might have

Have a quite smoke or two

Hi Intrigued. Always nice to see you!

Wish i could go to the mountains. The problem is that i live in the NETHERlands. (= low countries) Have to go to Switserland for mountains. My weekend isnt long enough for that :)

Hey Gord, thanks for the suggestions.

You forgot the Red Light District ;)

The problem is that i'm not a tourist.

I know - but I live in London and I dont go to half the things on my doorstep

When you live in a famous city of culture and everything you tend to take it all for granted and never visit the things that tourists do

You know I have never been in the Houses of Parliament , never visited The Tower of London, never been inside St Pauls

shocking really

Since moving here I have done 2 out of the 3. I save stuff like this for when other people come to visit, generally.

The Tower of London is kinda cool, but very expensive. If yo've got a guest/friend who has kids in the 5-12 age bracket, it is a good fun day out. Me, I likes checking out the crown jewels. ooooohhhh, shiny things....

St Paul's I have been to twice, once with my dad and his wife for Evensong, which is not my thing burt they wanted to go and I hadn't been so I figured what the heck. I mean, it is a pretty impressive building, especially put into the context of a) the technology available when it was built and b) the fact that the Adolph Hitler Demolition Co. Inc. didn't wipe it out. The second time I went was the Friday after Sept 11 01 :( which although it was horrible circumstances, I must say it allowed me to see a (openly emotional) side of Londoners that I otherwise might not have had the opportunity to.

Haven't been into Parliament, but I'd like to. My husband went recently for some chi-chi elbow-rubbing function at the House of Lords (nice for some, innit). But it's a pretty impressive building.

Next time you go, climb up to the Lantern. You first go up to the whisper gallery, and then climb up, inside the structure, between the domes, and see the brick cone that Wren designed to hold the whole thing up. Really cool.

If I were in the Nederlands, I think I'd go visit Rietveldt's house in Utrecht.

I have no plans, but if I could chose something it would be to go off somewhere for a few days......

cabin or lodge, some place secluded. Put on romantic music, candles, and build a fire in the fireplace. We'll sit in front of the fire with our dinner and wine, just kick back and relax and snuggle. Enjoying the music and wine and each other. We'd make passionate love in front for the fire, till the wee hours of the morning.

During the day we would go for walks, or read to each other, and have long talks.......
