Savannah Overland
Age: 23

The sun was shining brightly as Savannah and her childhood friend, Gina, sat on the patio of their favorite restaurant. Savannah laughed at the joke Gina had just told and nibbled on a few of her favorite fries smothered in cheese. Gina pulled a card out of her purse and handed it over.

With a curious look, Savannah opened it and saw a sucker taped to it. The card read:

My Wedding Would SUCK Without You In It?
Will you be my maid of honor?

Savannah got tears in her eyes and jumped up to hug her best friend. "Of course I will be your maid of honor!" she exclaimed. "I can't wait! It'll be the best wedding ever!"

Immediately plans started forming in her mind of what she would need to do. The bachelorette party was the obvious thing by there were so many other little jobs that a Maid of honor was in charge of... She would have to buy a planner to keep it all straight so she didn't forget anything!

"He's asking his best man tonight, too" Gina said. We would love for all four of us to be able to get together for dinner friday night and discuss things. Could you do that for me? We know it a big job for you guys to take on..."

"A huge honor is more like it!" Savannah chimed in. "I'm so excited. Of course I can meet for dinner Friday!"

Gina seemed to hesitate. "You do know who he's asking, right?" Savannah shook her head no. When Gina proceeded to tell her Savannah's face fell.

"Seriously? Him? What if he like ruins your wedding or makes it trashy somehow.."

Gina smiled. "He's his best friend. He wouldn't do that. I know you don't like him much but do you think you could try to get along with him anyway? Just for the wedding?"

Savannah rolled her eyes but nodded. "Ok I guess I will... But if that's the case
I'm gonna need alcohol. Waiter? Can we get two margaritas?"

Then the two girls put their heads together and began planning wedding details...

Fred Getrie, 25 years old

Fred was with David at the top of the hill. Their motorbikes were standing behind them and both guys were sitting on the edge of the cliff, legs in the air, drinking beers. Talking about the last concert they went to. Fred was explaining that the band used to play in the bar he worked at when they were less famous. It was a good time, a very good time that both of them appreciated. Having a beer or two, watching the snu go down on the city from up there after a ride on their bikes, that was perfect. Although David had less and less time to do that kind of thing. They had spent so much time runnig wildly around and making foolish things as kids. But David went the "right" way, at least conventionaly speaking. He found himself a good job, he went to a calmer neighborhood, and he met a girl. Fre dhad met many girls too, but he never met "the" girl, which it seemed that Davaid had. Gina wasn't the kind of girl Fred used to hang with, they were clearly from very different origins, and he had more difficulties to adjust to this way of living than David. David was playing his life between house/job/Gina and hanging out with his previous pals, among them mainly with fred still.
So it wasn't really a surprise when David announced that he was going to marry Gina and that they had settled on a day. They were engaged for quite some time, and this was the standard thing to do. They cherred and drank a beer to the announce.
But right after came the question... And Fred agreed with a huge voice to be his best man. Both men stood up and hugged tight and firmly. The honour was great, really, and that meant a lot for both of them.

After another beer, dedicated to that "best man" scene, David came to another point.

- Gina and I would like to have adinner with her maid of nohour and you. Soon, in order to get things right about the whole wedding. Would you agree?

- Of course, dude. I'll be in. And you'd better be ready for something great. I?ll make it allright.

- You probably have guessed that Gina's asking Savannah to ber her maid of honour?

- Damnit...

Savannah was Gina's friend, and it was normal to have her as maid of nohour as both women were always stuck together. but Savannah was a real pain in the ass. Always goo looking, always looking down on Fred (although he was taller, it was her attitude in fact). She was just making herself so superior, su disdainful. A cold frigid high-society posh one. Right the kind of person that Fred didn't like. And since their first tumultuous meeting, they have tried ot keep away from each other. During the parties where both were invited, they kept at each end of the crowd.

- That means another beer bro... Cheers!

Savannah glanced at the clock. She was supposed to meet Gina, David and Fred at the restaurant at 1900 for their late dinner. She had one hour to finish getting ready. She brushed her blonde hair until it shone, dancing across her back in waves. She applied the last of her makeup and then slid on her short cream colored dress. It hugged her curves, ending midway between her ass and knees, and showed a respectable amount of cleavage as well. Red heels and she was ready.

Just as she walked downstairs, her phone rang and it was
Gina. "Hey! David and I are running late. Fred is meeting you there and you can ride together to the restaurant. Sorry!"

Savannah groaned and hung up the phone just as soon as there was a knock on her door. She quickly opened it and saw Fred standing there. She grabbed her clutch purse and closed her condo door behind her.

"Ready to go?"' she asked as she stepped down onto the sidewalk. Her eyes landed on the motorcycle there. "I know you don't expect me to get on that death trap?? Especially in this dress?! My car is in the shop or I would drive.'of I rode that thing my dress will be all messed up!"

Fred was holding out a helmet to her. Narrowing her eyes she snatched it and placed it on her head, thinking helmet hair. She stood staring at the bike.

"How do I get on?" She asked incredulously. She was going to have to hold on to Fred which she despised the thought of. Maybe with another man it wouldn't be bad but with Fred... She shuddered.

He was an extremely sexy man. She would admit that. It was his attitude and choices that he made that made her despise him. He partied nonstop. He wasn't a settled person and Savannah thought that kind of behavior was disgusting.

She held her arm out to him.

"You gonna help me, or we gonna be late?" She asked, glaring.

As always, Fred's instincts reacted to the sexy Savannah. She was just beautiful, and her dress made her hotter. That went on until she spoke. And everything broke down.
He himself had made an effort as he was in clean dark blue jeans and even a shirt. Over it he was wearing the leather jacket of the motorcycle club he bleonged to. He let her whimper, and sat on his large vehicle with a long sigh.

- OK sweetie, you're done complaining? If only you hadn't spoken that much, we'd already be there. Pull up the dress...!

He grabbed her wrist firmly and pulled her behind him on the motorcycle. He waited until she put her arms around him. He knew she liked the idea of this as much as he did, meaning not at all, but they were tightly entangled on the motorcycle as the motor roared. He dashed the vehicle in the streets, taking a mean pleasure in avoiding very closely collisions and making a furious noise. He would have loved to see Savannah's face during the trip to the restaurant.
They made it just in time and arrived before their friends.

- There you are, madam (he added so much disdain in that word). Follow me.

he hold her wrist again and took the helmet when she handed it to him. He looked amused at Savannah pushing her dress in palce and arranging her hair.

- Hey Sav, a little bit of wilderness will do you no harm, you know... Let's get in and see which table our dear friends have reserved.

he opened the door for her with a sardonic smile.

She despised this man. He was loving her discomfort at having to lift her dress and ride on the bike behind him through the streets. She felt indecent and improper. And he drove like a maniac. She was pretty sure he did it on purpose to mess with her mind.

By the time they got there she was thoroughly a wreck. The way he said madam only served to piss her off more. She took his hand only out of necessity and snatched it away as soon as she possibly could. She quickly fixed her dress and had, fighting the urge to throw the helmet at him as she did.

She chose to completely ignore his comment about a little wildness and strode ahead of him into the restaurant where they were shown to a private room big enough to seat 40, but set for ony four.

Savannah smirked and rolled her eyes. Leave it to Gina.

She and Fred sat down next to each other so that David and Gina could sit next to each other as well. She sulked quietly until finally turning to face him.

"Let's say this before they get here. I don't like you. You're a wild, care free asshole, and I think you need to grow up. You don't like me. I'm sure you think I'm a stuck up society priss bitch. We both understand that. However we need to try and be civil for this wedding. I'm good with not speaking unless necessary. Do you agree?"

She wondered idly if he would agree or just say something smart to piss her off. She assumed it would be the latter.

He smiled at her, amused.

- hey it's not me that just used rude words. I was gentle and then you come forward with this... again. I want this whole wedding thing to go well and to be perfect for my friend and his fiancee. As much as you do. And yes I do not appreciate you, but that's just because you do everything to be not appreciated. Just calm down and lay down your defences, keep cool and have a life, Savannah.

He leaned back in his chair, his leather jacket on the back of it, his black shirt clinging to his solid chest and having the top two buttons open. He began mumbling a song...

And then the door opened on the two lovers. Fred jumped up and went to hug them both, congratulating Gina because he hadn't seen her since the announce. He let a short whisper in his friend's ear "I dont' thank you for the poisonous gift of handling her all by myself until now, dude."

Savannah felt her cheeks heat and grow pink at his words. Was she uptight and frigid? Maybe with him. And she didn't know why that was. There were plenty of people in the world that she didn't like but her Mama had taught her to save face and treat them all with dignity and respect. Never show anybody your fighting side... So what was it with Fred that her made her do just that?

Ignoring the nagging questions she went to hug Gina. As she did she whispered "you SO owe me!"

With that, they were all settled and had glasses of the finest wine before them. Gina lifted hers towards them.

"A toast. To the best Maid of honor and greatest best man two people could ever hope for. Thank you both for being our best friends."

Gina and Savannah each delicately sipped their glasses to the toast, took a huge swallow and winked at Fred. Savannah rolled her eyes. Infantile men.

Fred took his best smile to accompany Savannah's toast. He also gave a toast to the loveliest couple he'd ever met. They took some sips form their glasses...

- OK guys, here we are today. Why such a place? Did you plan to have your wedding meal here? The whole party? What have you already planned? What do you expect of us.

He leaned a bit forward, his elbows on the table.

- We'll give you a day you'll never forget.

And that ended with a wink to David.

Savannah cut her eyes at Fred as he spoke of a day they'd never forget. If he had his way he would ruin it. She gave Gina an alarmed look, but Gina merely smiled and cuddled close to David.

"Actually, yes, we are going to have our rehearsal dinner here, the night before the wedding. We are are having relatively normal sized wedding parties, three others each, besides you two. We just wanted to have dinner together tonight to talk a little about some of our plans. We are getting married in two months. I know it isn't a lot of time but we didn't want to wait..."

And so went the rest of dinner.

They discussed plans and ideas, ate and laughed together. Fred and savannah actually managed to not bicker - much.

At the end of the night they all stood. David clapped Fred on the back and smiled at him.

"Fred, my fiancé and I would like some alone time. Can you handle escorting Savannah home?"

Savannah groaned and Gina smiled broadly.

The dinner went fine. They listened to the future-married demandes and wishes, and they took notes.

When David began his sentences, Fred gave him a slittle smile back, letting him know he understood... but the end turned his smile to a grin. He leaned closer.

- You sure she couldn't afford a cab? I mean, you know, her and I... You know what I mean...

But there seemed to be no way out of this.

- OK, OK, I'll do it.

Fred turned to Savananah, put a smile on his face, offered his arm...

- If her Majesty would please come and follow me, Her carriage's ready to bring her back home.

Savannah glared and pushed past Fred, marching to his motorcycle parked on the street. Without waiting she snatched the helmet up and pulled it over her head and then hiked her dress up to sit on it and wait, her toned thighs exposed for anyone to see.

Fred was grinning broadly as he came up.

"You are just thrilled that I have ride on this death trap with you again aren't you?" Savannah snapped. "Why do you get such amusement out of seeing me in uncomfortable situations?" Her eyes were narrowed as she stared at him as he got on in front of her.

She wrapped her arms around his lean body, took a breath and held on for dear life as he ripped through the streets once again.

Fre dtook his time reaching the motorcacle, he also took his time letting his eyes linger along the really beautiful legs. He took his time sitting and putting his helmet on.

- One would be so pleased to have a nice girl clutching to him on a ride. It would just be good if you stopped talking and don't let those stupidities out of your mouth.

The motor roared and the vehicle started through the busy streets at night, the colors and lights passing in a blur as he drive fast again.
Fred brought Savannah home safe. He didn't move and didn't offer help for her to stand up, then he looke dup at her.

- Seems we got to meet again... soon. We have to arrange things for her.

he pulled out his cellphone, launching his calendar.

- Any moment you prefer? Oh and besides it would be easier if I had your number, just to keep contact.

He winked and gave a grin.

- Don't make foolish movies in your mind, it's just for the wedding planning. Nothing more personnal, sorry my dear.
