Oops, my bad. Sorry, I meant JINGLE BELLS!! :D

MERRY CHRISTMAS, EVERYBODY

and please have a safe and Happy New Year.

Doesn't matter with the good patriotic 'Mericuns (devout republicans). They have the Christmas lights on all year!

Hehehehe.
That's evil and a bit premature.

LOL
Actually, not premature at all. We've had our first snow where I am, ALL of the merchants agree 'tis the season and my sister (the family martyr and early shopper has her shopping DONE) and well, today is Thanksgiving and tomorrow is the day all of the people of the U.S. rampage the stores for the first and most dangerous day of Christmas SALES there is. Now, you tell me...is it premature, or are you just behind the rest of us?

P.S. My sister gets her shopping done by August, as a rule. Isn't that organized in a repulsive kind of way?

EDITED TO ADD:
Oh, and I'm now off to the relatives for some Thanksgiving EATS!!!!

...and as he rode out of sight we could all hear him shout "Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good er..a...whatever your hearts desire"

There is a problem with this thread. This post is just to see if my cookie is corrupt. No, I didn't get any cookies at Thanksgiving. This is another kind of cookie.

It's not premature...I just decorated my living room today. Not that we have many decorations, only being married a couple years but what we do have is out.

Sadly, I can only add to the quickly growing pile of evidence that indicates that DVS might be right: I received my first Christmas card in the mail today. Okay, not today, because we don't get mail on Sundays. But today as in that's when I picked it up, which is even worse because it means I really got it on Friday.

I was quite horrified that anyone was organized enough to mail all their Christmas cards a month early. Impressed, I'll admit. But really, really horrified.

I was straightening things in the living room and found the xmas cards we got last year...i never had put them away. Oops. They got filed in a set of paperwork to be dealt with.....and it nver got dealt with. :)

Procrastination, anyone?

Procrastination? There are times when that's my middle name, my best buddy, my closest pal. Bah Humbug sometimes goes along with it. Not really in to the whole spending money thing. Mainly because I don't have much.

Now, if I had extra money...things might be different. Real Estate taxes, property taxes, health insurance, car insurance, home owner's insurance and even insurance insurance.

It never stops. And, most of the biggies are due at the end of the year, yep, right when the old guy in the red suit is suppose to be coming along, too. And, I bet you all know who ends up winning.

You know what I would REALLY want for Christmas? Just to be out of debt, and in the black. I would LOVE to be out from under the money monger's greedy thumb, so I could relax and enjoy Christmas.

Boy, I really trashed this thread with that last post, huh? Maybe it hit home with you.
