Hi,

Not sure where to put this. Just wanted to say it drives me nuts that the page width is so small. You guys should really update your .css file to accommodate modern browsers (1024 width or larger, centered on the screen).

Sorry if that is harsh; you guys do run a great site and community, but it really makes it hard to read a lot at once. I use the m.literotica trick to fix this, but a modern .css file would really be the way to go.

My two cents,
Travis

You know anything about how to fix a blank sd card that got reformatted by mistake?

Hmm well that one is a bit tough. I suppose by 'fix' you mean get your data back? If you simply formatted doing a quick format, download a program called 'recuva', and that should help you get the data back.

Given the large number of posts you have, I can't help but feel like you can get in touch with the powers that be to put my comment in the suggestion box. If you need more info as to how to do that (edit: By THAT I mean create/edit a .css etc) feel free to message me/post here.

Also if you have questions about recuva, I would be happy to answer them.

Thanks. Will check out. I can no longer use dropbox on my droid, or download or view docs. I think there's a way to get the file system back but I haven't figured it out yet. I get a message saying the sd card is corrupted, but I don't think it really is.

Hmm yea just realize recuva is for retrieving data. If you are honest to goodness trying to fix the card, you would simply go into my computer on a pc, and right click 'format'. Probably fat32, standard sector size of 4096. If that doesn't work there may be a problem with the card. There may be other formatting tools on the net, but usually windows will suffice in that situation.

I should also add that any data that was on there will be deleted, if it isn't already. So if you need the data do recuva first.

I am a powerless noob on the threads of Lit who likes to talk periodically. :) Laura may see your thread and respond. I think that's her name.

Cool on your geekiness. Will let you know what happens. I may follow up with a question or two. Thanks again!

The fat 32 was what Samsung mentioned earlier on a live chat, but when I asked what I had to do to do that they referred me to their 800 number. I also tried hooking my droid to my pc via the usb. The pc automatically downloaded the phone software but the pc wouldn't recognize my droid. By that time I was saying fuckin droid. I might just get a new phone. I was just trying not to spend any money.

Hmm well sd cards are a dime a dozen (ok like 10 bucks a piece). But to format the card you would want to remove the card from the phone and put it into the pc. You can't format it 'through the phone' if that makes sense. However, you may need an adapter to connect it to the pc. Honestly if you have a decent bestbuy near you geek squad will do it for free. But having worked there, results can be mixed.

Attached is a rough sketch of what I mean about the site. Obviously everything doesn't line up; I just grabbed the code off your site and edited inside a browser. But it really would be nice to have a nice widescreen centered view (I didnt bother centering for this example).

Note: It would appear your software made my image really tiny, so it sort of defeated the purpose. Maybe I can change the resolution. The idea is it is wider and prettier :)

The prices I saw earlier for an sd card were around $30 and given that my second battery on my 2-1/2 year old phone is about shot, I'm thinking it's probably better to finally cave and upgrade my phone. And I don't have the adaptor.

Maybe you can see if the owners need some volunteer help with the coding. Kyle mentioned one of their names. Thanks again.

Hold down control, press the + key. Do this as many times as you need to until the display matches your screen width.

wow, you needed to make an alias to say this? *shakeshead*

you must got alot of time in your hands haha

You should start a 'Tech Support' thread. Not sure in which forum would be the best (perhaps How To?), but I think Litsters would get a lot of use from one.

@Balladeer08. Lol. Its true that does work. But then I have massive text!! But putting " m. " e.g. m.literotica.com/article_bla_bla in front of the url does a fair job, as it loads the mobile version of the site which does not have the same .css constraints as the other pages. Still, a few lines of code would really modernize the site. Not sure this is relevant as a week has passed, but maybe it will help someone down the road.
