web sites worthwhile or a waste?

dont know if las vegas is not the norm, but very hard to find a partner. any websites i try make it very hard to set up anything. received contact
info and made the first move. never hear back. other websites have the same owners and not sure which web site is real and which ones are filled
with the same profiles. public searching is near impossible for the same reasons.

Depends on your website. Lived in Vegas about 5 years ago and found a few great guys on Scruff. Haven't used a dating app since, so can't be sure it's still up to par. Make sure you have a complete profile too. Face pics help when it comes to finding guys who are serious vs. lurking.

Wow. To an outsider, a traveler, it seems like Las Vegas has such an active gay community, clubs, gyms, spas, as well as an active nightlife that finding gay friends would be easy but I guess maybe not?

My situation is entirely different, in that when I'm looking to find a guy in Las Vegas it's for a traveling, weekend or vacation tryst (notably, with my wire's approval) but I've had a reasonable amount of success making Las Vegas hookups via Squirt. I don't know how it would be if you're looking for "relationships" rather than just a hookup, but I will say that I tend to look for a more intimate, what can I say, "boyfriend" experience and have some had some wonderful times. You know, sex, dinner, partying, more sex, breakfast..... On some occasions it's been with locals while on others it's been horny travelers like myself. On some occasions I've hooked up with guys I met through Squirt and on others it's been the old fashioned way....like via a Freudian slip on a hotel elevator ride....LOL

(On edit, I recall I had some success hooking up via AFF/Out but it was a long time ago. Can't vouch for them now.)

As cubbyfire 04 said above, you've got have a complete profile and a face pic (even if kept in your private" folder till ready to share. Don't know anyone else's situation, but I pay for my memberships on such sites as I think the extra benefits are well worth it. Plus, it can help you weed out those who are serious and those who are not.

We've had luck with AFF. But when actively looking we are sure to buy the month membership and only strike up conversation with other paid profiles. That's the only reliable way we've found to weed out the bots/spam/flakes.
