I want to start a web site for my business. I know about ISP's and such but nothing about web hosts. Does anyone here have any familiarity with web hosts; good one's, bad one's, sizing, etc.?

The web site would show some offerings from my business catalogue (color pictures), prices and services offered. I would also like to be able to take "deposits" online (maybe use Paypal). Another section would have helpful hints and other tidbits. Down the road I thought about adding a section where I would list customer's used equipment which they wanted to sell.

Okay, now your question makes a little more sense. Okay, so are you going to build it or are you going to have someone else build it? Do you have a domain name? Do you know where to find one? Hosting companies offer a great deal of different options. You will want one with good sercure servers and cgi access. Also you will need to get Verify.. and maybe visa... but that as to ne looked at after you answer my top questions
