web design help...

Hi, I am in dire need of web design help. I have just completed my web design course and for our final project our web sites we have designed have to be turned in. This is not that big a deal, seeing that I only have content to add. But then my teacher gave me my requirements for the site and there are some programming things I am gonna have an issue with.

I am a total graphics person and not a programmer at all. ********** has totally thrown me for a loop. I have a gang of books and such but I am still having trouble.

I need help with DHTML layers and I have to have a moving object. If any one at all is able to help I would be ever so grateful. This project has to be turned in on Friday. I have gone all over the web looking for help and I figured that I could try here.....

Hehehe no problem.

I honestly detest j-script, dhtml and anything at all that adds something not needed to websites.

I'm a minimalist.

Unfortunately not everyone who wants to hire me is, so I had to learn. -sighs-

Sorry i can't help with the scripting I have only worked with Front Page 98.

Please let your fellow students know that for their project assignments that all that is in that website must be their own personal text and images, not taken from someone elses website off the net without the copyright holders permission.

Last year I had a student doing a Uni course like yours kicked off the course because she "stole" 45% of my business website and passed it all off as her own for the final website project. I tutor on international copyright laws at a university so I know my stuff and she got booted. It is simple cheating to cut and paste someone elses text or grafics from a site without permission

I'm not getting at you personaly but students have to be aware that you can be kicked out of their course. Kind of like taking the answers of a written exam into the exam room with you

I use Frontpage 2000

Well, everything on my site it done by me. The graphics, text, everything. Now, my graphics I make sometimes use tubes, but my site is not a money making site so I think I am ok. Most everything I use is Royalty free.

The thing is that my teacher thinks that the code that Frontpage puts in for say, a rollover, is too long. She says we should hand script stuff like that and the DHTML and anything else. Therein lies my problem, I just suck at it.

Hopefully, I will get this dang thing done, I've been in school over a year, and it sure would be horrid if I didn't graduate.....
