Mistress, the webcam is a mystery to me too. These pics were taken about 1 second apart, by my husband. No lighting was changed, nothing changed, except that I moved out of the picture...but look at the results. . .

i had a Logitech cam

and i found it worked fine outdoors, but indoors, it was not too good and i could never seem to get enough light for it to work properly.

i would recommend returning the camera to where you bought it.
i bought one at wallyworld for just under $200 cdn. and it is a polaroid.
i am finding that it was the best investment made before i decide to spend mega dollars on a more expensive one.
oh yeah, dont forget to buy a set of rechargable batteries and you also get a DC adaptor for plugging it in to save on the batteries.

this is cam number three..... and I have installed the software...eighty times....all different brands... and it keeps coming up with an error message about the USB port not functiong....

Actually I had a nicer, cooler camera first and couldn't install it. Then I got this cheapie (49$) and had the same problem. I ended up emailing in a request for help to the software manufacturer. They answered, and it works, but it was complicated, and not something I would have guessed how to do. So maybe try to get some customer service Jaded. Now my problem is fixed but I ended up with the shit camera.
