OMG Spike spikes spikes!!!

Sure... there is certainly some spikes. But how would we know the degree?

Testing has increased dramatically. The CDC publishes guidelines on including "probable" testing in the actual results. People are taking multiple tests, being tested coming in and going out of hospitals. All results are counted. Even if it is the same case. Labs are reporting 1005, 80%, 90% postivity. Impossible numbers. Admitting they are not reporting negative cases. Reporting procedures vary from state to state and lab to lab...

All while the deaths continue down...

That just stupid! Deaths lag!

Sure they do... by 10-15 days. Yet we are 5 weeks in to this spikes.

Well hospitals are overwhelmed. Capacity is exceeding 80%!!! Death and doom I say!!

First of all. 80% plus bed use is normal. If hospitals do not have 80% plus bed use they go out of business. Second, while the media screams ~80%. What they do not tell you is ~60% of that ~80% is not Covid.

For the all citizens we have a disease a little worse than the flu. For those under 65 with no comorbidity we have a disease less dangerous than the flu.

So at the end of the day. Deaths decline, mortality declines, no one is overwhelmed.

But yet it is a election year. So for a few more votes, to get the sheep in line...

We destroy the economy. depression increases 300%. Drug and alcohol use and deaths increase. Domestic violence increases. The damage we do to are kids is severe and will be felt for years.

Shame....

false equivalence

asking people to wear a mask in a crowded supermarket
has nothing to do with irresponsible gutting of businesses and sources of livelihood

My ironic satire often confuses even me. But to be fair there is much that confuses me.....

I get your satire
but the use of masks as a metaphor irks me every time.

I agree that Nancy Pelosi's use of a mask 24/7 is a poorly disguised attempt at splitting. And the double standards of those who allowed BLM back to back riots, while dragging hairdressers (who use PPE) in Court, are mind-blowing.

but you guys actually have constituents who think that being asked to wear a mask in a crowded, poorly ventilated supermarket
means taking away their rights.

Yep, it's a cluster fuck for sure. Foobar!!!

Now Trump has ordered everyone to report to him and not the CDC. So the truth dies for his political ambitions.

Here we go

Okay, so emotions are running high and everyone is a self righteous expert. I live in Florida, in a county where we have over 500,000 residents not during season. I live in a city that is called God's waiting room. In 4 months of this virus we have less than 100 deaths, and other than eastern half of the county where migrant farm workers are getting tested daily now, we have little to no infections. And guess what? wherever you go, people are wearing masks.

Then their are those numbers. Some astute reporter in Orlando started questioning them and low and behold, labs are screwing up. Any mention on the news? Nope. Then Saturdays deaths were double counted. SO the biggest day of reported deaths in Florida, was not so much a record day. Have you heard this on the nightly news? Nope, just panic and fear.

Infections are way up, because Saturday they had a record number tested 143,000. That's about as much as the whole fucking country of Canada has tested since this thing started.

ICU's are not nearly at capacity, BUT staffed ICU is beyond capacity. Why? Because, in counties where there still is season (Ft. Myers, Lee County) they furloughed staff at the end of season, now with the increase in cases and backlog in normal procedures they don't have enough staff. That damn Trump, how did he let the hospitals do this! Thats sarcasm.

So believe the selective science, and believe the fear mongers. We don't need to create fear this is a very bad virus that got out of a lab after some of the genetic sequence was played with. So we should respect this virus and hope we don't get it. But trust government and public healthcare officials? FUUUUCCCKKK NO!

Wearing a mask in a store when you are not sick is:
A: ridiculous.
B: ordered by my Democrat governor.
C: all of the above.

Correct answer: C

Greg Abbott is going to be upset you called him a Dem....

ok, and the next time you go into surgery just tell the doctors and nurses to forego their masks.

r.

I don't know where you get your information, but if you wish to have credibility your should check your fact sources.

For example, Canada has tested more than 3.3 Million since this thing started.
Florida has test 2.7 million, since this whole thing started.

Abbott is not my governor.
OK, the next time you want to compare apples to oranges ...

'It's Not A Hoax': 2 Coronavirus Survivors Share Different Journeys With COVID-19

More than 1 million people in the U.S. have recovered from COVID-19, according to data from Johns Hopkins University.

But even those who have gotten through the disease’s initial effects can still have lingering symptoms. Two women who had very different experiences with the coronavirus are still dealing with it months later.

Christa Thibodeau, a Latina woman from New Braunfels, Texas, was hospitalized with COVID-19 after experiencing shortness of breath in April. Jennifer Dunlap, a Black woman from Columbus, Georgia, contracted the virus but only experienced mild symptoms

Despite the warnings issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other top public health officials, some Americans still doubt the dangers of the coronavirus and even its existence. Political figures including the former Texas Rep. Ron Paul have called the pandemic a "hoax" and turned public health into a partisan issue.

In April, nearly 3 out of every 10 Americans believed COVID-19 was made in a lab, either intentionally or accidentally, according to a Pew Research Center poll. Republicans and Republican-leaning independents were more likely to believe this and think that people were overreacting to the outbreak, another poll found, rather than not taking it seriously enough.

A Walmart spokesperson said in a statement:

“As the number of confirmed cases has spiked in communities across the country recently, so too have the number and types of face covering mandates being implemented. According to the CDC, face coverings help decrease the spread of COVID-19, and because the virus can be spread by people who don’t have symptoms and don’t know they are infected, it’s critically important for everyone to wear a face covering in public and social distance.”

aah, butters, the sophisticated Londoneer, to the rescue.

Why don't you point out the problems that bumfuck Britain has, for a change?
rampant xenophobia
mishandling of the covid crisis

Mandatory beginning this weekend. Stay home, wear mask, don't wear a mask and pay a $1000-$6000 fine.
Chose one.
