This war will be a war that is finally brought to the US land itself. All the previous conflicts have been far from the North American continent, and therefore more palatable for the Americans to get into them with no ramifications to suffer at home.

I think, for the first time, the States will suffer the attacks on the innocent, the bombardments and deaths at home that they have not had before.

Unfortunately, chemical and biological attacks do not know where the borders are, and I fear we will suffer as well.

I plan to stock up on supplies, and pray that the damage is minimal.

You still have a greater chance to be killed by a drunk driver more than a terrorist attack

Patronizing..... you know well what I meant

those were all internal and personal

none with the destructive powers available since WWI, WWII, Vietnam, Korea.

None of the massive suffering in the States, that has been suffered elsewhere.

Like Canada? You were involved in all those too.

BTW, check your history. The east coast of the US was not a good place to be a merchant seaman in 1942.

More civilians were killed in the US than Canada during WWII.

........what he said.

Japan attacked the US mainland back in WW2, study more then just the headlines before you make dramatic proclamations. Hell Japan actually invaded and took over US territory back in 1941 (The Alaskan Aleutian Islands).

Iraq dose not have any military capability of reaching us.

Can't we just combine all of these war threads into one? I know everbody wants to have their say.. but do we really have to start a new thread everytime almost?

Not complaining at anyone in particular. Just an observation kinda really.

A scared consumer is a terrible consumer! Duuuhh, why do you think so many people are losing their jobs and the economy sucks as stocks sink, corporate earning shrink, and layoffs are rife!

Yes, I did. However, I was not patronizing. I was simply pointing out an error.

not so. yes, frivolous spending will decrease; however, watch those sales of duct tape soar!

Go look at some stats on how much shite Americans buy in the interest of 'staying safe'. It's the great lie of the suburbs, dude.

All you drunk fuckers have 48 hours to sober up or we will invade and de-tox you!

Yeah you are probably right... it's nuts. We should just let dumbasses get as hammered as they like and do whatever they want to whoever they want.

Oh absolutely. Lock em all on one island. Think "Escape From New York." Give them fast cars, narrow roads, and large caliber firearms. Oh, and lots of booze.

I'm a big fan of Darwin.

The East coast of the US was attacked multiple times during WWI and WWII, and the West coast was attacked several times during WWII, as far inland as Nevada and Montana by balloon bombs.

I know this may seem childish but I truly wish for peace. Why must more people die to protect innocent lives??? I guess I'll just remain stupid.

Don't consider yourself stupid.

Someday humanity will lose its fear of itself. It may take a while though.
