My wife and I are starting to explore our sexuality a little more and are looking for clubs, etc., that cater to the couple who may want just want to watch? We were thinking swingers clubs but I picture those as a giant orgy? Is this the case or no? We happen to be in the UK. Any ideas, suggestions? Thanks.

Well, swinger's clubs could be described as an orgy at times, but you can definately watch if you want. It's just a lot more fun if you participate.

It totally depends on the specific club/group and event, too.
At our local sex-positive club, there are parties that actively encourage exhibitionism/voyeurism, ones that are heavier on the participation and a few that don't allow voyeurs at all. But most events (be they BDSM-, sex-, or otherwise oriented) encourage those who are interested in watching others to do so in the main areas (there are certain rooms that don't allow uninvited voyeurs).
I'd suggest contacting your local clubs/groups and asking if couples are allowed to just watch others, if that's all they're comfortable doing, whether or not there are specific areas for voyeurs, if they have suggestions for a more timid newbie couple, etc.
Also see if there's some kind of orientation/introduction event and which parties are generally best for newbies. I don't know how it is in the UK, but in my corner of the world, most clubs have an orientation where they review the rules, etiquette, answer questions, give tours and the like at a certain time or before a party that generally draws more new people. And if they don't do that, there's usually someone(s) on staff who can give tours and answer questions on an appointment basis.
In addition to that, see if you can find a UK swingers forum or groups that allow you to talk to those who frequent the clubs/parties and ask if they have any recommendations on which events might be good for a couple in your situation. Sex-positive people are usually incredibly friendly and eager to share their time and knowledge, so don't be afraid to ask for assistance.
