I am very seldom impolite to anyone on this BB. I don't intend to be now. But I will be honest, because true debate can not suffer a wrong without honesty.
To the point : I have had enough of this fucking imposter, unregistered and uncouth, who lurks behind the pseudonym "fake name". Read what is written. No good can come from this person. And while I am in no way promoting censorship - I have a suggestion to make. Please consider it. I would welcome constructive debate - I think the topic justifies at least that. Our BB is being seriously threatened by this useless dim witted individual.
Perhaps what I am promoting is that Literotica be kept an exclusive BB for members. This should not be seen so much as a curtailment on the freedom of speech on the BB, but rather as a curtailment on who ought to be admitted to membership.
What do you think? I have another point: And you'll have to bear with me - I am not computor compliant *laughs*. Would registration (or any other possible terminal identification method) be able to prevent people from creating and assuming multiple personalities?
I enjoy this BB. But in society, both virtual and real, people choose those others whose company they wish to keep. I don't like some of these "clandestinely masked personalities" who have clearly been created in the minds of people to do ananymous damage to this BB and to the people who live in it. That means that if they continue to terrorize this domain then I will have no option but to leave here (along with many others, I suspect).

Actually, you can set it so only registered members can post. I don't think you can limit the number of times one is able to register a name though. I just got a trial version of this BB system for one of my websites for a game I play online... and as soon as I figure it all out......up it goes.
I doubt it will help though, because they'll just keep registering fake names and continuing what they are doing. Unless people can be banned based on IP number, I haven't dug that far into it yet. In fact I'll probably have to beg/pay/bribe someone to install mine for me. ROFL.

If you figure that one out, please let me know. We're having the same problem in a "live" chat at another site. It's much harder to ignore a troll who is right there in your face. At least we can kick them or ban them but this ass keeps coming up with new names. We're examining sanctions right now....

Most ISP's (including AOL, Mindspring, and most DSL providers) use dynamic IP addresses, which means you're assigned a new number every time you log on. Banning based on IP address is futile. Plus. many people have several accounts through which they access the Net - an AOL account, their work account, etc.
