that need to be solved.... but I wouldn't trade being an American. I thank everyone who has served to protect this country. I pray that the passions that are being shown now help our nation to move forward together not apart. I love my country.

Have you ever lived anywhere else? My observation as someone born a Scot but now in OZ and having lived in several countries is that an emigrant always has a foot in at least two camps. I would also suggest that someone who moves somewhere else is not trading away their origins. They are usually becoming something more rather than something else.

Between 2010 and 2014 my firm recruited about 280 Americans to work in OZ, mainly on 2 or 3 year contracts. Some of the early ones returned home but in the past 2 or 3 years hardly any; but I don't think even the guys that have been here for 10 years think of themselves as any less American.

Finally, praying may be a comfort for you but voting might be of more immediate importance for the near future. ;)

What would worry me if I was American is the choice in the elections between bad and possibly worse.

I haven't lived in other counties. I have visited 8. Right now I have more of a desire to see all the places I can here. There is so much to see. I always vote.

Isnt this said in every election cycle and indeed in all elections in all countries?

Yes it is!

SO STFU!

I am getting my dual citizenship. Canada is ok. It is good to have options these days.

No, it isn't and that's because you can't see anything beyond the US without a sneer because we don't appreciate your President..
