It stopped raining in the afternoon long enough to take the dog for a walk, but we are still getting showers. I tell you our weekend weather should be out there any day now

Spring=wet and cool
Summer =hot and sunny
Fall=cool and windy
Winter=cold and snowy

That doesn't stop them from trying though, and you are right they shouldn't. We take them when we get them and enjoy them for as long or as short a time as they last
