My moment to rant..

So the carpet folks are here.. and they just pulled up all my old carpet..

Now, much to my surprise, what did I find under? Beautiful, spotless, 40 year old varnished hardwood floors.. did I mention they are beautiful?

Oh well, nothing like putting carpet back over them

Sorry I know we don't chat but that seems like a real shame to cover them up. Can't you keep some of the floors uncovered and use area rugs instead? Get your money back for the carpet you return? Sorry this may sound dumb.

I have heard that happen to so many people......never to me though...I pull carpet up and and find plywood

On the upside, it is probably safer for zachary ( not quite 2 ) to be on carpet instead of falling and banging his head on the hardwood.. but damn.. what a bummer..

On the plus side, next time you need the carpets done... they stop spilling most stuff around 10 or 11. you can go with the hardwood option then
