Stampede is a Western themed fair with rodeo events, chuckwagon races, music and of course all the midway rides and ripoff games normally associated with a fair. http://www.calgarystampede.com/stampede/

The Calgary Stampede is the biggest one in Canada and runs for ten days. People come from all over the world to see it. It is quite a show and many of the people in the city dress western for the week- cowboy hats, boots, jeans, etc and not much work actually gets done because there are free pancake breakfasts and stampede parties all through the week. The largest free breakfast at one of the shopping malls attacts about 50, 000 people each year. Come on over and see it some time*s*

Ohhhhhhh I remember my uncle coming over and getting my brother and I too take us with him and his kids to a few pancake breakfasts and to the see the rodeo events when I lived out there.
