Ok... two hours later... having chundered over my particularly favourite part of Portugal...
I've been on a strict, strict but very strict diet... NO BOOZE, no rich food, no chocolate - GOD FORBID, and no BOOZE.
I got off the leash! I had to return to Portugal because the builders start work tomorrow (today - in about four hours) and SHE who must be obeyed, had to stay in UK awaiting birth of first grandchild, due Saturday last but clearly is waiting until the oH-Har over the European Elections and the future of our eminent Brown leader is decided... the Grandchild will of course be Prime Minister of Europe in approximately twenty-seven years... I digress
Having gotten off the leash, I found BOOZE AND CHOCOLATE and after a eight hour journey, neither was avoidable... hence the acrid chocolate chunder.
For those who worry about my well-being
hell, one only lives once and I reckon a six monthly bender is allowed. I did speak to a Government Minister this morning (UK Government) who apologised profusely for the problems they have caused me these last two years and who couldn't understand why the letter he sent to me hadn't been delivered, or the compensation he promised me hadn't been paid into my bank account, or why the telephone number to his direct line he gave me turned out to be a private citizen in Westminster.
Such is my life, I should be grateful for such small mercies and will proceed with my legal action against the UK government despite his protestations of innocence. It's not ME who is 'injured', it's the hundreds, if not thousands, of others who will tread the same path not knowing they are being screwed over because they 'trust in government' to do the right thing. Hell... I had a huge Victory today... I deserved to get pissed.
