Wat's Guns-N-Stuff Thread

I want to know what the shooter was using. To me it sounded closer than the "sniper" was positioned and more like a double action revolver than a rifle. Too fast for single action and not fast enough for semi auto. Based on the poor quality sound, the gun wasn't any louder than the pistols the SS used to return fire. Which again means small arms and not a rifle.

I'm thinking that "sniper" was SS and not moving because he was busy, not because he was "neutralized." Which leaves the guy they hauled out of the bleachers as the more likely shooter.

I could be wrong.
How unexpected.

It was an AR-15 semi automatic.
For once the 2nd amendment was used for its intended purpose.

The shooter was a registered republican.

Oswald's ability as a shooter:

Just three weeks after joining the Marines, he’s trained in the use of an M-l rifle. He shoots on a rifle range [a score of] 212, which means he qualified for the second-highest position in the Marine Corps, that of a sharpshooter.

Near the end of his stay in the Marines in 1959, after being court-martialed twice and his morale was low, he went back to re-qualify himself in the range — still shot a 191, and still qualified as a marksman. That meant that he could hit a 10-inch target eight times out of ten from 200 yards away.

This kid, apparently, wasn't in the military. He likely had optics. Maybe he did some practicing. They do do a lot of hunting in PA, so such a thing wouldn't be out of the ordinary.

Ten inches at 200 yards is 5 inches at 100 yards.

Trump was, in the words of my favorite auto parts shop proprietor, "fortunate as shit."

If you believe in the right of any fool to own military hardware, shut up and be a good little victim.

It was a turn of the head that saved Trump, serendipitous luck.

Supreme failure of the security team.

Yep, fortunate as shit.

And now we have the name of some other poor little twisted dipshit who cashed it all in for his 15 minutes.

Wat gave all of his firearms here a stern talking to. One of the WW2 era rifles burped.

Hey, vacay is over!
I’m back!
What up muh threaddah’s! 🥰
So glad nothing happened while I was away that would make folks question our freewheeling use of weapons or consider gun reform.

Haha! Who am I kidding! This is America - bad gun news happens like everyday! We Americans got freedoms to discover and yet to experience. Stopping to focus on the shooting of an individual, well that’s just dumb 🤪

…And is just as useless as noticing not 1, but 2 mass killings occurring in the same city on the same day. 🎉🤡

Pick yourselves up and dust yourselves off because ammo prices are rising and the Amazon still delivers and the Secret Service are still trying to figure out how to move faster than a bullet.

So no sad faces ok?!!!👌

Dims: Charlie Brown didn't struggle this much with a football.

Over the last 20 years...........

1) the top 5 outfits in The Spook Show have investigated Trump.........and produced.......A soon to be Jailed Avanetti plus an aging stripper vying for new titties

2) a dossier that Hitlery paid 6m for (out of campaign money) that under oath Mueller choked and stared at the floor

3) a concocted pandemic that resulted in a global genocide........that didn't kill the unvaccinated..........

4) still bitterly clinging to the hopium

5) a war in Ukraine that has us closer to the brink of nuclear winter than any scenario under Reagen

you know. The bestest and brightest!

No it wasn't. Watch the video. He had his head turned to the right for at least 10 seconds before the shot came. He was moving his head slightly, that is true, but he didn't turn his head in any significant manner. I will agree he was damned lucky. The shooter missed, plain and simple, not by much but by enough. I haven't seen the weapon he used but I suspect it had some kind of fancy red dot or holographic sight. Neither are good for the range he was shooting at. A post and peep sight are 100% better at 200 yards than either one of those.
And if the shooter had been aiming center mass as he should have been the outcoming would have been different.

To my mind it points to a shooter who was vaguely familiar with the rifle he was using, but didn't have enough training or knowledge to use it effectively.

As far as the failure of the security team, absolutely. From reports a guy saw the shooter "bear crawling" on the roof with a rifle and tried to report it minutes before the shooting started. Additionally, the reports are the sniper that killed the shooter did so "within seconds" of the shooter firing 7 rounds. So why the fuck didn't security see a man with a rifle, one who shouldn't have been there, in an elevated position before he started shooting? Yeah, someone (or a bunch of someones) screwed the pooch big time.

Read Hathcock's book. His notable shots were head shots. He even had to explain what happens with some of them to his Major.

Don't remember from Ward's book.

Never read anything on Kyle.

Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro on Sunday identified the rallygoer who was killed as Corey Comperatore, a former fire chief from the area, and said he “died a hero.”

“His wife shared with me that he dove on his family to protect them,” Shapiro said. He declined to discuss the condition of two others who were wounded.

Because he won't get 15 minutes. He just got dead.

Pity.

Hathcock, a trained ( and by all accounts exceptional) sniper with the right equipment compared to Joe Blow with an AR15? Yeah, doesn't compare. And "notable shots"? That smacks of few in number but memorable ones.

Someone needs to be more aware of things like "King of 2 miles."

Ordinary Joes. Most of 'em anyway.

To augment your comment, I found this on a video from a news cast. It shows the position of the shooter and Trump. how the hell was he able to get to that roof without being detected? Yep, they screwed the pooch royally.
