I've done my share of Palmetto builds and helped quite a few others with theirs. Over that time I've only encountered two issues.

Generally the Stainless barrels do NOT do well with the steel case ammo. Eventually, after 300-400 rnds, they'll settle in. This issue is caused by the steel sticking to the chamber and resulting in less than full cycle operation which shows up as a failure to feed. The problem doesn't manifest itself with the Chromally barrels.

I had ONE issue with a faulty bolt that Palmetto immediately made good on.

Overall the Palmettos will run with the high priced name brands all day long.

As a general observation I don't care for the steel case stuff. I have observed that whatever powder they're using burns dirty with excessive residue.

Chobham turned me on to PSA several years ago. I have bought several of their rifles and/or uppers. In the interest of full disclosure, I haven't fired every single set-up. Yet. The ones I have worked as well as that expensive match Armalite that I bought 20 years ago.

No, what I was told by a federal law enforcement official is that forums like the Lit PB are being monitored to track who might be planning revolution, not who has purchased guns.

You see, most gun owners are responsible and don't see the need to boast about preparing for armed revolution. Most gun owners work within our system of elected representation in government and are not trying to burn the whole system to the ground.
