I find it hard to believe that it is illegal for me to get drunk and mow my lawn on my lawn tractor.

It is not a John Deere. I had one. It finally retired itself after many years, decades, of service.

Now I use the cheap-ass backup mower I purchased. It works too, but
the center of gravity is too high for my slopes.

That explains a lot of things in short order.
