Wat and their merry band of ammosexual incel’s daily affirming, self-assuring "de-meme-tia" in full force and on full display.

🙄

Pro-tip:

Spamming memes makes their messages even less persuasive and even more ignorable.

😑

Hope that helps.

Another great day on the 1000yd range. Just enough wind to make it interesting. A few more sessions and I should be able to dial in this new scope without having to think about it all that much.

The max. we can go on our range is 1200yd. on a portion we call "the outback." They're steel targets set up at indeterminate ranges. It really tests your range estimation and scope doping.

For those interested in long range shooting the folks below are the specialists.

People ask, "what made Hathcock a legend"...........

Patience. He could lay in one spot for a week waiting for the shot

I'm not a sniper, I'm a commander.

I ran into Hathcock a few times at rifle matches. This was prior to his deployment to Vietnam. He, like most competitive shooters, exhibited single minded concentration while on the firing line. What set him apart during his deployment and what gave rise to his reputation was his field craft. He was a hunter of men in one of the most brutal environments imaginable.

There are many fine shooters out there but they will never be real snipers, the difference is in the field craft not the shooting.

I had an opportunity to spend some time with one of Hathcock's contemporaries and we got to talk a bit. Vets don't tell civvies much, but some things they will discuss in a general way, like finding and lying in a position for a day and a half to get a clean shot on something.

I also got to have a conversation with Hathcock's son, Carlos III, but we talked about raising little boys.

My favorite Carlos, Jr., story is when he and his spotter shot up the NVA company in Elephant Valley.

You've been in my toolbox again I see...

~~ on another note ~~

Ornate pistols are for wanna-be gangstas. You never pretty up something that you might have to use to beat someone to death with.

I support no politician.

Thus they are not beholden to me and,

more importantly, I don't expect a fawkin' thing from them.
