Reminds me of a scene out of Yellowstone.

More media I haven't viddied.

In other news, I think this guy has a point. I have thought that the handgun and rifle thing in the same caliber is sensible, too. Other possibilities would be the .44 Special and Magnum for a low/high energy, or just straight up in .45LC. I think I'd lean to the .38/.357

Found a clip about the top 5 calibers to buy In Case, but he was a tad whackadoodle, and he has 1 and 2 reversed, so here's a better version.

1: .556NATO/.223
2: .762NATO
3: 9mm
4: 7.62x39
5: 7.62x54

I would also say that the 2 best substitutes for the Combloc stuff would be .45ACP and .30-'06.

Just a thought . . . .

Shine, Perishing Republic

By: Robinson Jeffers

While this America settles in the mould of its vulgarity,
heavily thickening to empire,
And protest, only a bubble in the molten mass, pops
and sighs out, and the mass hardens,

I sadly smiling remember that the flower fades to make fruit,
the fruit rots to make earth.
Out of the mother; and through the spring exultances,
ripeness and decadence; and home to the mother.

You making haste haste on decay: not blameworthy; life
is good, be it stubbornly long or suddenly
A mortal splendor: meteors are not needed less than
mountains: shine, perishing republic.

But for my children, I would have them keep their
distance from the thickening center; corruption
Never has been compulsory, when the cities lie at the
monster's feet there are left the mountains.

And boys, be in nothing so moderate as in love of man,
a clever servant, insufferable master.
There is the trap that catches noblest spirits, that caught
they say God, when he walked on earth.

I sent one of our mutual friends' a few boxes of 38 Spcl Match ammo to try in their lever action rifle...............fail. Oh it shot well enough but the bullets were flying all over the place. Made sense when I thought it through, the powder was spent in the first 8 inches of that barrel. Same ammo shot perfectly in their revolver.

Okay, what distance was s/he testing? Because I would doubt that it would be too much worth a fuck much past 50 yards.

I don't think it was much beyond 25 yds but you know who it is and you can ask. It was like 4 - 6 in. groups. They switched to 357 and it shot dead on.

I just had a flash of inspiration. I do know who it is. Henry. Rifle, not poster. Maybe the answer is, just shoot the big one and shop for good prices, such as they are.

I do like the .45LC idea, too, but that's adding another fucking cartridge. But there's a nice looking repro 1875 Remington in stack at the store . . . .

Yup. 38 +P might work if the price is right.

As the man said, straight walled rimmed cartridges are friggin' easy to reload.

So a combination of some of the least populated and some of the least educated states (10 states total) have approximately 10 million total people of all ages who potentially possess a gun.

And???

🤔

No, YOU go find out how the other States rank. I'm busy.

Well, if-n-when they ban ARs, we'll be forced to buy AKs from the Mexican cartels. That's what Clinton figured out when they turned on the firearms industry after robbing Big Tobacco. "Oh wait, we'll have to buy guns from Russia for the Army!!!"

Since it's February, the ammo order for the month went out after I figured out what to get. Hey, free shipping!!!
