Actually they DO know what they want to do, they're just being rocked on their back feet by the blow back. The upper echelons of the Neo-Communists are well aware of why the 2nd amendment exists, hence their effort to disarm the populace.

Maybe, but it reminds me of folks who pile into a car to "go somewhere" and they keep riding around hoping to get there and don't. They had a chance last congress and didn't get anywhere.

I almost doubt their resolve.

You won't doubt the resolve after Trump causes the GOP to lose both the Presidency and the House.

As you mentioned before, you'd better panic and buy all your fetish toys now so you can have fantasy "bate" in the future.

Doing a bit of window shopping for an IHC M1. Or an H&R. Looked at the bidding sites. Two fucking grand, or better. It's not been all that long that they were under $400, although you didn't get to pick which brand. Still.

I didn't know that the retro market had introduced the A1. And walnut furniture. And does that thing there look like a bayonet lug???

The answer is yes and no. *chuckle* That indeed is a bayonet lug but it's virtually useless, especially with the 20" barrel. The lug is so far back that very little of the blade protruded and the ring on the bayonet settled behind the flash suppressor and hence the bayonet wobbled around.

There are some after market stuff that you can buy to actually attach a useful(?) bayonet.

Right, because here in the 'hood where we have frequent bayoneting incidents ( ) . . . oh wait. I never understood why they went after those 30 years ago, but went they did.

The M1A still hasn't added it back.

I have an infantry vet buddy who said that he'd have regarded an order to fix bayonets as an order to prepare to die. I'd say he's right.

A 1911 in a .22 round? Bitch please! I have a 1911 double stack in 10mm which I'd haul around first. I liked my Mosin carbine - I figured that if anything bad happened to it, that I would miss it much. Substitute AR carbine for AR "pistol". I'd rather have a pistol grip 18" barrel 590 than a Shockwave. Hard to beat a three five seven.

Meh. The one on you works better than the one at home.

.22 is for teaching, not working.

I also find it laughable that some people preach that you shouldn't "switch platforms" because it makes you less proficient. It's bullshit and anyone who is proficient with a handgun doesn't care who made it (with the exception of Glock which are truly terrible handguns) to be able to run with it. That tainted thinking about platform is probably why there are .22 caliber 1911s.

Right. And squirrels. And prolonged torture sessions.

I'm not anti-Glock, but I won't argue the point, either. I like my full-size .45. My 10 is a bit much and it's hard to believe that they make a smaller platform for that one, too. I like my old model Sigs a lot. There is little to think about when switching platforms, But I've been doing this for awhile, so there's that.

It is hard to beat a 1911. There's the 10mm single stack on this years list.

Sent to me by a friend;

Too Much or Not Enough?

You may have heard on the news about a

Southern California man who was put under

72-hour psychiatric observation when it was

found he owned 100 guns and allegedly had

100,000 rounds of ammunition stored in his home.

The house also featured a secret escape tunnel.

By Southern California standards, someone

owning 100,000 rounds is considered

"mentally unstable.”

BUT…

In Arizona, he'd be called "an avid gun collector.”

In Arkansas, he'd be called "a novice gun collector.”

In Utah, he'd be called "moderately well prepared,"

but they'd probably reserve judgment until they made

sure that he had a corresponding quantity of stored food.”

In Kansas, he'd be "A guy down the road you would

want to have for a friend.”

In Montana, he'd be called "The neighborhood 'Go-To' guy.”

In Idaho, he'd be called "a likely gubernatorial candidate.”

In Georgia, he'd be called "an eligible bachelor.”

In North Carolina, Virginia, WV, Mississippi, Alabama,

Tennessee, Kentucky, South Carolina he would be called

"a deer hunting buddy.”

AND OF COURSE

In Texas he'd just be,

"Bubba; who's a little short on Ammo."

.22 handguns are for training. .22 rifles are a different thing altogether. Like the .410 they serve a purpose beyond training.
