In fairness and after further review, I placed the order on Black Friday. Card ding was last Tuesday and it shipped yesterday. That'll do.


I ordered a rifle from an outfit who may remain nameless. It showed as available, and they charged me. It was backordered for 6 fucking months. I won't be going back for as little as the time of day.

I had a back order work in my favor a couple of years ago. I ordered some special bullets from an outfit that said they were in stock but ended up back ordered. From the time I placed the order to the time they shipped the price had increased by over 50% but by golly they shipped at the original price.

The problem with restricting to single shot or bolt action is who is rounding them up from criminals? Even in countries where semi-autos are restricted, criminals still seem to get their hands on them.

Gangs had machine guns during the days of Elliott Ness, but eventually those gangs were prosecuted anyway. That era did not result in making machine guns available to everyone.

Right now the problem is over-proliferation of high-capacity semi-auto guns. It will take a long time to reduce the mass distribution of these rapid-kill weapons, but we have to start somewhere.

I believe the age requirements should be the same for:
Voting
Enlisting in the military
Buying any gun
Drinking
Driving
Gender transition

If you're not legally old enough to be responsible for any on this list you shouldn't be doing any. If you're old enough to be responsible for one then why not the others.

One guy with a single shot bolt action rifle and good optics can cause a lot of casualties and the victims won't even see or hear it coming.


So the issue isn't "high capacity" or "mass destruction" or any of the other meaningless terms you want to throw out, it's the mindset of the guy behind the trigger. That means that a sociopath will figure out a way and all the laws and rules and whinging on the part of little chicken shit cowards like you and the rest of the anti-gun progressives will not change anything.

Because a sociopath will always find a way.


In the end, the solution is to stop coddling the mentally ill by allowing them to walk around in public unsupervised. However, society isn't going to do that because it means that a major percentage of the progressives who are wandering around at least half stoned all the time will end up locked up.

The narrative doesn't have anything to do with guns. It's about control.

Swap out "assault rifle" with "abortion" and the rest of the words remain the same. "Assault rifle" = "late term." "High capacity" = "my body, my choice." It's all the same BS because the issue isn't guns (or abortion) it's about control.

I see you included gender transition in your list, which indicates you have very little or no contact with pediatric specialists who consult with minors undergoing counseling and hormone treatment for gender transition.

This is one of the least understood branches of medicine in America, mainly because of the hysteria whipped up by the right-wing. However, any family that has had to address this issue experiences the fallout from control freaks who think they know everything simply because they get their talking points from right-wing politicians rather than medical experts. The same goes for those who want to ban all abortions.
