Wat's Guns-N-Stuff Thread

I’ll admit to mixed feelings on abortion.

On the one hand, it’s absolutely evil.

On the other hand, 30 million more hood rats would take this sinking ship straight to the bottom.

And, while having an abortion is definitely sin… theology gives us reason to believe that the victims end up in heaven because they never reached the age of accountability.

I don’t buy into terminology like “reproductive freedom.” It’s infanticide. I never tolerated soldiers using euphemisms for killing. If you can’t say it, you probably shouldn’t be doing it.

And finally, if the successful outcome of a procedure is that someone ends up dead, it’s not “healthcare.”

Having an abortion is in the bible. There are plants in nature, created by your god, that do nothing but serve as abortifacients medicinally.

Of course you don't like that term reproductive freedom. It's not emotionally charged enough for your hysteria. The reality is abortion is self defense.

Yes a fetus, a developing human being, ends up dead. Because fetal slavery is worse. Unless of course you are willing to give up ownership of your body and tissues to support and save lives. As compelled by your government.

I find it interesting how hysterical the conservative male perspective is on abortion.

When truth seems “hysterical” the problem is you.

That's not truth. That is your opinion. Some of which is based on erroneous information.

Calling abortion evil when it is in the bible is an interesting perspective. In the text it is even administered by a priest.

Your religion is an opinion in and of itself. One you are absolutely entitled to. That is your right. But what you are not entitled to do is make others live by your religion. That is another fact. I am entitled to my religion, or to even have no religion at all. That is my right.

I have no problem saying the fetus is a developing human being and that its life ends. It is killed. It is killed in self defense.

Yet you cannot address the reality that in order to ban abortion that the government takes control of the woman's body - that it takes ownership of her body from her.

You seem to have some perception issues.

I still remember the first rabbit I shot. 20 guage single shot...probably 30 yds away tops. It stopped running. Fuck I was proud. Then I picked it up. There was nothing left. It wasn't usable. You couldn't have a stew. The pelt was destroyed. Taught me a valuable valuable lesson. Guns kill. Far easier to raise rabbits. Sure got a hell of a lot more meat that's for sure.

I’ll admit to mixed feelings on abortion.

On the one hand, it’s absolutely evil and in almost every case is nothing more than an attempt by stupid people to avoid the predictable consequences of bad choices.

On the other hand, 30 million more hood rats would take this sinking ship straight to the bottom.

Having access to safe, legal abortion is a matter of religious freedom. Banning abortion is unAmerican.

Manly Maga Alpha Males don't have abortions
Manly Maga Alpha Males shoot their guns.
This point is beyond your normal moronic. NO MALE EVER HAS AN ABORTION. It doesn't matter if they are a maga alpha or a idiot liberal male. ONLY A NATURAL BORN WOMAN CAN HAVE AN ABORTION.

Another failed attempt to look cool by you ends with you looking as stupid as you really are.

True
It may still sound dumb to RDS

Talking to you is like waving away an insistent fly.

But eventually it’s time for the swatter.

Goodbye.

(This is actually the, “I’ve evaluated you and concluded that you will never say anything unexpected” technique.)
Condescending only works if you have the intellect.

Stating religion is fact demonstrates you don't.

If this is how you dismiss people, frankly you suck at it.

Wrong analogy. Had you used a swatter against her logic...
Oh, never mind. Carry on.

Dam, if this is how you feel about being rejected, maybe you should abort your Literotica account. In self defense of course.

Wat was friends with a liberal couple awhile back. We lost track of each other. Bright and hard-working young people. Wish them the best. They were very much about protecting the availability of abortion on demand. Wat was about maintaining the availability of firearms to the law abiding. Each of us agreed that we had no opinion on the other topic and found ourselves in accord, something quite unlikely to occur here.

If only you could argue points instead of retreating to insults - in a discussion which didn't involve you.

I'm sure Freud would have a thought or two. Projection etc... :nana:

If you wanted a fun discussion about guns - which you really didn't, it was just to see if you could annoy some people who you deem as "triggered" - then you should have posted in the GB.

But you didn't.

If you don't like the intrusion of other politics into your politics thread... bummer. It's the politics forum. Not my problem.

It's guns. Can't help but be political. The thread is in the right place until such time as Laurel moves it or deletes it - her call. I believe I am well within the rules. Besides, most "triggering" threads seem to appear here. And my thread title is genuine, whereas yours on a similar subject is a bit disingenuous. You appear to ask a question and then we discover that you already have an answer. So, no, I didn't, and neither did you.

My point with the little story is that we - I and the other two people - could have a sensible conversation in the real world about real stuff. No one told the other what to believe or that s/he was wrong, or stupid, or didn't know what's "good for them," whateverthefuck that is.

. . . found ourselves in accord . . . . It can and does happen. But it's not likely to happen here because of the preconceived notions and whatever else people drag in here, mostly, I suspect, a lack of humility which manifests itself as an overwhelming need to be right.

You will notice that I didn't attack you. Additionally, I'm not trying to change your mind or your views. Simply, some who have different experience than yours are humans, too. That's all.

How very... disingenuous.

The reality is that your right to own guns has not been infringed one bit. More guns are in the US than ever before in history. We have more gun owners than ever in history. Your right to own your body was not repealed by a partisan scotus legislating from the bench.

The reality is that every woman of child bearing age in America only owns her body depending what state she's in. The rest are at the whims of fetal slavery.

It's easy to be in accord when both rights are respected. One clearly is not.

I never said I was "skeert fer mah gunz" or that "the Bidens iz comin.' " I'm not. I'm also about as coy as a biker bar fight. Outright bans and registrations are not likely anytime soon. Nothing to argue over. I buy what I like, when I like, and shoot what and when I like, responsibly. It happens.

Having "no opinion" on abortion means just that. I can't have an abortion. That may have influenced my consideration of the topic. I know that I'm against annoying government regulation. I ride, so take motorcycle helmets. It's my head, so I should get to choose if I wear one. Where I live, helmets are mandated. Where I will live, they're optional. No matter where I live or where I ride, when I ride, I'll be helmeting my brainpan. I'm trying to get used to a full-face helmet, but I'm not there yet - too much sacrificed peripheral vision.

So, in essence, i have no issues with people being allowed to choose their destiny without government interference.

You'd be, frankly, a stupid hysteric to think so. However, one is often judged by the company they keep. And much of the company you keep - here, that is - does think so.

Again, disingenuous. My bet is you vote for as many democrats or reproductive rights advocates as fish as I've caught in my lifetime. I'd even bet I've handled and fired more guns than you've voted in support of abortion rights.

Currently about half the women in the country are not allowed to choose their destiny without government interference. Yet you have "no opinion".

That makes your last sentence insincere.
