It's disappointing that Americans are so poorly educated that they think that Hitler was remotely Socialist. It's depressing that this has to be repeated continually, else it becomes accepted fact in true Goebbels fashion.
You could make an argument that nazis Germany was more of socialist construct than hyper capitalist.

"Socialism—defined as a centrally planned economy in which the government controls all means of production—was the tragic failure of the twentieth century. Born of a commitment to remedy the economic and moral defects of capitalism, it has far surpassed capitalism in both economic malfunction and moral cruelty. Yet the idea and the ideal of socialism linger on. Whether socialism in some form will eventually return as a major organizing force in human affairs is unknown, but no one can accurately appraise its prospects who has not taken into account the dramatic story of its rise and fall."

The German Reich under their national constitution to protect the Reich from communism did take over all social and manufacturing or any other means of production, mostly from within.

Well, the article doesn't give the details of the questions. But it does hit on a salient point. I, and virtually everyone I know, would not participate in such a poll and if cornered would lie about ownership. The distrust of the media and government has really reached that level.

Me? I would like to see the laws that are on the books concerning the use of firearms in the commission of a crime enforced. That would be a good start. If I could figure out a way to keep firearms out of the hands of the mentally ill that wouldn't be abused by the government, I would support such laws.
Especially if they call you over the phone because then they have a lot of information about who and where you are.

The problem with enforcing the laws already written, passed DEMOCRATICALLY, and enacted is that it upsets the Left because the optics are that it falls hardest on minorities, especially the ones who break the law to enter the country...

Yeah, the charges plea bargained away by the same prosecutors that whine and cry and want something done about 'gun violence.' Kinda like Hunter's deal.

The Hunter deal was a low hanging fruit example. The people screaming for more 'gun control' have NO idea how many laws are already on the books that AREN'T being enforced. This is so prevalent that one has no choice but to come to the conclusion that the advocates actually want more gun violence, a means to their ends.

Politically, with great tragedy comes great power, so there might be something to that observation.

Frightened sheep will employ the wolf to guard them from the fox...

Not sure how the -ic fell off, but I have found it always to be a bit chapping to the nethers.
I wouldn't worry about it too much Wat. They need to change their label anyways, they're no longer very democratic.

They're the National Socialist Workers Party now, worker being an euphemism for undocumented citizen...

I don't even pick up the phone when I don't recognize the caller, so I'm not participating in polls.

The more of those calls you answer, the more you get.

Scammers share lists. Not hits mind you. Lists.

Back in the days of land lines it was inevitable that at least once a week some telemarketer or pollster would call during meal time. My preferred tactic was to say, "I've really want to talk to you but I have to turn the sprinkler off. Can you hold on for a minute?" They'd always say "Yes" so I'd put the phone down on a cushion and about my business then wait to see how long they'd hold on until they figured out I wasn't ever coming back.
