Eventually the Iranian people will have no choice except to overthrow their government. What they get afterward is anyone's guess but I'm thinking they're not going to like it any more than the one they've got now.

Ordinary Iranians are good people and could build an important new democracy in the Middle East.

It's going to be a toss up between the revolutionary guard and the military. I'm quite certain that Israel along with other regional actors will do everything they can to make sure it's not the IRGC.

There is clearly a significant desire among many Iranians, especially younger generations and urban populations, for more political freedoms and democratic governance. Recent protests have shown widespread frustration with the current regime, but there are still significant obstacles to any clear path toward real freedom as long as the current ruling theocracy exists.
