Rex awoke not long after Sasha left. He knew he had a busy day ahead of him, so he climbed out of bed, put on his boxers and crossed the backyards back into his house.

The usual morning routine followed of feeding Capone, taking a shower, have breakfast, and spend an hour on his comics. He managed to get a few more sketches done before leaning back and thinking. He'd need to make a few trips.

He hopped in his car and first headed out to Spencer's Gifts at the mall. He only needed to make one purchase there.

After that, he went into Sasha's and did a quick inventory of her kitchen. Again, he had more shopping to do. This time, he drove down to the grocery store with a short list of what he would need. Everything, acquired, he went back home to take a break.

He peeked over at the clock and saw that it was just past noon. Sasha should be on a lunch break right now. It occurred to him that he didn't know her work number or her cell number. He mentally smacked himself as he went back to his house to have lunch and relax a little. He needed to get another hour two of work in before he went back to finishing Sasha's big surprise dinner.

Sasha found it hard to concentrate on work. She kept stopping, staring off, and thinking about the wonderful weekend she had experienced with Rex. Her co-workers could tell there was something up, and altough she would have loved to tell a friend about the wonderful man she had discovered, none of her co-workers were friends. Instead, she tried hard to get all the day's work done, and opted out of a meeting to finish up a proposal.

Finally, the work day ended and Sasha ran to her car and began the 45 minute drive home.

Rex hastily showered and changed into a pair of khakis and a V-neck shirt. HE made sure he had his surprise from Spender's Gifts hidden and ready.

He went back over to Sasha's and began cooking. While the timer was on, he busily set about putting candles out and making sure the kitchen matches were conveniently placed. He set the table for two and stopped to admire his handiwork. It was almost the moment of truth.

Half an hour later, Sasha came home a candlelit dinner for two. Rex sat at the table waiting for her. Sitting in three steaming bowls was the food he had prepared. "Welcome home, love," he greeted with a smile. "Dinner tonight is orange beef with shrimp fried rice and vegetable lo mein."

Sasha giggled softly and looked in awe at the spread on her kitchen table. She dropped her bag and removed her shoes before quickly walking to Rex and throwing her arms around him.

"Mmm...it smells wonderful in here!" She kissed him hungrily before stepping back and moving to her chair.

Rex smiled over at her from the opposite side of the table. "Help yourself. I wanted to give you something a little different, so I put all this together. I like to cook Far Eastern cuisine for special occassions. Orange beef is my favorite next to Peking duck."

Sasha smiled and quickly dipped her fork into the food in front of her. She tasted a small bite and put the fork down.

"Ohhh... this is delicious!"

"Glad to hear you like it. Just remember that I have a rather... unusual dessert prepared as well." Rex grinned devilishly and spooned some food into own plate before digging in.

Sasha gave Rex a look before digging into her plate of food. What was he up to? She grinned at him from across the table and winked.

"So how was work today?" Rex asked conversationally. He wanted to keep her guessing throughout dinner. He believed doing this sort of thing helped keep things interesting. Besides, he just liked being strange and spontaneous.

Sasha laughed at his sudden change of subject.

"Day was fine. Everyone was like "You got laid!" Maybe they think I'm being less of a bitch or something." She laughed lightly and picked up her glass.

Sasha laughed and reached her fork across to prick Rex's arm. Sticking her tongue out at him she rolled her eyes.

"I doubt I was walking funny. I was just kinda daydreaming all day."

"Yeah. Daydreams that caused your nipples to poke out and a wet spot to form on your skirt at the very thought of my raging cock pounding into you like a jackhammer."

"Well isn't that nice talk for the dinner table!" Sasha feigned distaste and shook her head at Rex. "Tsk tsk."

Rex just shrugged. "Tact is overrated."

He let a few minutes of silence follow as he slowly worked on his dinner. "You want to catch a movie tomorrow night?"

"Sure!" Sasha smiled at him and finished off her dinner. "I don't know what's playing, but I'm sure we'll find something we'd both enjoy."

"What would you say to Howel's Moving Castle?" Rex asked curiously.

He helped himself to some more of the shrimp fried rice just to tease her by prolonging the meal and glanced at the fridge. "Hope you save some room for dessert, by the way."

Sasha laughed.

"I have plenty of room for dessert. Geez you like to torture me." She took a sip from her glass and watched Rex eat his second helping.

"Yup. Love it."

Rex took his time finishing his food. When he was done at last, he wrapped up the left-overs and put them in the fridge. He then pulled out a mixing bowl full of an orange syrupy goo. He then reached into the freezer and produced two orange shells cut in bowls with zig-zag patterns and a scoop of ice-cream in each.

Rex set the orange-halves on the table and spooned a little of the chilled syrup into them. "I only make this on special occassions. There's another 4 still in the freezer and they take time to get just right."

Sasha giggled as Rex handed her one.

"You are trying to spoil me aren't you?" She reached over and planted a kiss on his forehead before turning her attention to her dessert.

"It looks too nice to eat!"

"Well eat it anyway. The syrup by the way, is a spiced mxture made mostly from the orange pulp."

Rex served one of the sundaes for himself and didn't hesitate to dig in. "Robert Rodriguez once said that not knowing how to cook is like not knowing how to fuck. And since I can already fuck like a beast, it makes sense that I should be a great chef too... Too bad my favorite foods are so damn expensive."
