"Oh, then I'll need more time to thaw it then." Rex set out all the ingredients and thought for a moment.
He raced through the living room, out the back door, across the yards, into ihs house, then all back again. He returned carrying a green can in one hand before vanishing into the kitchen again.
"Dinner will be ready in about an hour. You want to put on a movie or something until then?"
"I kind of like this whole deal," Rex said as he hopped over the back of the couch into a seat next to her. "Coming over to each other's houses for dinner, spending the night alternately, lounging around each other naked, night after night of sweaty passionate sex.
"Remember you sold me your soul in exchange for night after night of mindblowing orgasms. And I certainly don't want to be accused of being a welch."
He pulled Sasha into his lap and began tickling her.
She laughed and grinned at him helplessly. Sasha very much enjoyed Rex's company and was glad she found him to be compatible. She hooked her arms aorund his middle and hugged him tightly.
Rex planted a firm kiss on her lips, which he rather insistently turned into a heavy make-out session for a while like a horny teenager.
After some time, he stood up and stretched. "As much as I'm enjoying this, I have to go make dinner."
He walked into the kitchen to find the chicken had thawed. First he pre=heated the oven. He drained then washed the chicken breasts and set them aside. He mixed milk and egg whites in a bowl, then mixed together flour and seasoning and bread crumbs in two ziplock bags.
Grabbing a knife and cutting board, Rex quickly halved the chicken breasts and dipped them one by one in the flour/seasoning mixture, then the milk and eggs mixture, and finally in the bread crumbs. By now, he had eight halved breasts seasoned and breaded.
The oven was sufficiently hot, so he oiled up a glass cooking pan and laid down the breasts. With a smirk, he took out the green can he had brought over from his house: Tony Cachere's creole seasoning. This was possibly his favorite spice to add to recipes. He liberally sprinkled the seasoning over the chicken, then placed the pan in the oven and set the timer.
Rex thought for a minute about a side dish. "Sasha? Do you have any rice pilaf?"
Rex dug through the pantry and didn't find the rice pilaf he was looking for, but did find spaghetti and marinara sauce. He let out a small puff of breath and decided to improvise. He set a pot to boil on the stove and started heating up the sauce on a second burner. As soon as the water was boiling, he tossed in the noodles right before the timer went off on the oven.
He took out the chicken and quickly flipped the breasts over, sprinkling the fresh sides with more creole seasoning, and shoved them back into the oven.
He ground some pepper into the sauce to give it an extra zing and strained the pasta as soon as it was done. He set the table just as the timer on the stove went off.
Rex served up a piece of chicken and a helping of pasta with sauce onto each plate. As an afterthought, he went to the fridge and dumped some pre-packaged salad into a large bowl.
Sasha stretched and grabbed an old oversized t-shirt from the front closet, pulling it over her head as she walked into the kitchen.
"Mmmm! Something smells good!" She grinned at Rex and sat down in front of a delicious looking plate of food. Leaning across the table towards him, Sasha planted a kiss on his forehead before picking up her plate.
"Tonight we have oven-crisped chicken breast and spaghetti with marinara with a light salad on the side."
Rex took a seat across from Sasha and began cutting up his chicken. "I spiced the chicken up with a little creole seasoning. It's my own personal touch."
Sasha hadn't realized just how hungry she was until she took her first bite of Rex's delicious chicken. Before she dropped her fork, she had her plate cleaned off. She sat back and grinned at Rex.
Rex leaned back from his plate which only had a little left on it. "Heh. I satisfy your appetites in more ways than one."
He got up and searched for the plastic wrap, binding the left-over chicken. "One nice thing about this recipe is that it's also good cold when you have leftovers."
He stached away the few remaining pieces and turned back to Sasha. "If you want desert, I know of a little place that serves great ice cream."
"It's still your day. You decide!" She crossed her arms over her chest and stuck her tongue out at Rex before clearing the dishes and plopping them into the dishwasher.
