Rex looked up in mock thought. "Um... Yeah, that sounds about right.

"Vince and I are on relatively good terms, though. We don't talk much, but he chose me over our sister, Antoinette, to be the godfather to his kids."

Rex drove a little further down the street. "Want to pop in and visit them? Annoys the hell out of his wife, but she always hated my guts to begin with."

"Your usual perky self," Rex said cutely as he pulled into the driveway of a large house with a gable roof and a wrought iron fence.

Rex hopped out of the car and knocked on the door. A small dog inside started barking and Rex began singing the interlude from California Uber Alles by The Dead Kennedys.

Now it is 1984
Knock, knock at oyur front door
It's the swede-denim secret police!
They've come for your uncool niece!

That was as far as he got before the door opened and two little twin girls erupted from inside to jump into his arms. "Uncle Rex!" they shouted excitedly.

Sasha laughed as the girls as they tackled Rex. She felt all the more drawn to him, watching him laugh and play with them. She thought all women must get the same feeling. She laughed again as he stepped through the door way into the house, a young girl clinging to each of his legs. She followed him inside and closed the door behind her.

"Okay, girls," Rex groaned, "your uncle's losing feeling in his legs." The two promptly detached from him and looked at Sasha, waving at her with big smiles like mirror doubles.

"Sasha, these are the twins: Brianna and Carmen."

A new voice came in from behind Rex. "Speak of the devil." He turned to see his brother, Vincent."

"And that would be Vincent, my older brother." Rex walked up to Sasha and put his arm around her waist. "Everybody, this is Sasha, my new girlfriend." He gave her a quick wink that made it hard to tell if he was being serious, teasing, or just giving an excuse the others would find easier to take, especially in the presence of children.

Whether he was just teasing, or serious, or what ever else, Rex's announcement made Sasha blush. She smiled and waved at everyone.

Brianna and Carmen giggled and grabbed Sasha's hands. Vince seemed a little surprised but still friendly. "Well, if you came here to annoy my wife as usual, Julia took Andrew to soccer practice. She won't be back for a while."

"That's okay. Tell her I send my love. In the meantime, how about returning my copy of Donnie Darko?"

Vince rolled his eyes with a smile. "I'll go get it. You guys want some coffee as long as you're here?"

Sasha smiled down at the girls holding her hands. She knelt down beside them and spoke quietly to them. They cheered and she reached into her purse, retrieving a small bag of gummy bears. Taking the bag, the girls ran off. Sasha stood back up and winked at Rex.

"You've got a way with kids," Rex commented. He took her hand and Vince led them into a very ornate kitchen. He fired up an espresso machine and began making the drinks.

"So how did you two meet?" he asked.

Sasha giggled and looked at Rex.

"I think thats a story you should tell." She winked at him playfully and squeezed his hand.

Rex chuckled lightly and began to relate the story in short of how the two of them met, how they spent two years tormenting themselves, and how it all came to a head last night.

Vince brought them their espressos and sat down with them. The difference between him and Rex was very clear. Vince was sharply-dressed, straight-laced, and mild. Rex was obviously a free-wheeling type who wouldn't hesitate to take the bull by the balls if for no other reason than to see what would happen. "So... what does that make you two? If you don't mind my asking."

Rex paused as he considered hwo to answer that. "We were going to figure that out when we get home."

Sasha found herself grinning dumbly at Rex as he spoke. Her stomach turned a small flip-flop inside her and she made a mental note to hold him to figuring their relationship out when they went home. She sipped her espresso and turned her grin inward.

Vincent looked at his watch. "Julia will be home soon. It was nice meeting you Sasha, but my wife doesn't get along with Rex. She thinks he's a bad influence on our kids."

Rex smirked and started singing.

I'm Mister Bad Example
Take a look at me
I'll live to be a hundred
And go down in infamy.

Vince chuckled lightly. "Don't get me wrong, I love Julia, but she tends to be over-protective."

Rex just laughed. "Ah, don't worry. I'll be back to torment her some other time. Tell the twins I'm sorry I couldn't stick around longer, but we need to be getting back."

With a quick handshake to his brother, Rex took Sasha's hand and walked back out to the car. "See? Nice guy, but a little stuffy."

Sasha smiled and shook Vincent's hand before Rex pulled her from the kitchen and out of the house. They climbed back into the car and Rex started the engine.

"Home again, home again? Or what next?" She grinned at him and put a hand on his thigh.

"Home," Rex answered softly. "There's a conversation we need to have that I promised you."

With that, he pulled out and headed back for home. "We'll talk at my place. I need to let Capone out and feed him anyway."

Sasha grinned, and stayed mostly quiet on the ride home. Her mind was whirring, her body tight with anticipation. Why was she reacting this way? What about Rex made her feel like a jittery school girl? She took her time getting out of the car, picking up the bags from their shopping trip as Rex went to let his dog out. She walked lazily up the steps to the door and placed the bags on the kitchen table before sitting in the living room, carefully on the edge of a cushion on the couch to wait.

Rex let Capone out and took a moment to wrestle with the massive hound before pouring a load of kibble into his dish. He refilled the giant bottle of Capone's water toward, and scratched the dog behind his ears before leaping over the back of the couch and wrapping an arm around Sasha.

"Alright... Well, to start I'd really like to keep seeing you. I haven't dated anyone in two years because I just couldn't stop thinking about you."

Sasha laughed.

"You just jump right into it, don't you?" She took his hand and tried not to act suprised when he told her he hadn't dated in 2 years because of her. "Are you saying you want to actually 'date' me? Or just come over when you're feeling horny?" She cocked an eyebrow and looked up at him expectantly.

"Can't I do both?" he asked playfully. "If all you want is for us to be fuckbuddies... that's cool." He didn't really sound like he meant it.

"Though I'd really prefer if we could have something a little more... well, serious."

"I was kind of hoping you'd say something like that." Sasha smiled at him and sqeezed his hand. "I don't know if I could fuck another man now. I've had it too good with you to feel satisfied with anything but. You've ruined me!" She playfully punched his arm in mock dismay, drawing attention away from the heartfelt words she felt difficult to express.

"Then my plan worked perfectly," he drawled in a mock-villainous voice. "I have you all to myself."

With that he pulled her into his lap and kissed her passionately.

Sasha found herself giggling as he grabbed her and she kissed him hard, expressing with her tongue and lips the passion and emotion she stumbled over with words. She wrapped her legs around his torso and put her hands on the back of the couch on either side of his head, pressing her body into his.

Rex moved his lips to her neck, murmuring softly against her skin, "I'm going ot assume this means we're official now."

He let his hands roam her body, teasing the most sensitive places with almost surgical precision.

She laughed softly and bit at his ear before nodding her head against his neck. Her hands snaked down Rex's body and caught the bottom edge of his shirt, before wrestling it up and over his head. Sasha let her hands run along the hard flesh of his chest and over his shoulders, smiling at him before dipping her head to kiss his lips, biting gently along his bottom lip.

Rex pulled off her shirt soon after she got his off. With a deft flick of his wrist, he undid the clasp to her bra. He massaged her breasts through the fabric as the straps started to slide off.
