My 2 slot expansion will be a .308 or .270, haven't weighed that out yet. I want it, don't need it. The other will be a Sig 1911. Long time waiting for it for some reason. I'm short on the shotgun ammo.

I tend to think of the AR platform and the .223/5.56 cartridge as battle carbine stuff. They will reach out, but they don't do battle rifle stuff, like shoot through cover. Think trees or cars, things like that. I do like the M14/M1A platform, and I own a couple of AR10s, all in the .308 round. I prefer that because it has been used by the military which pretty much assures us that it'll be available in quantity when other rounds won't.


I also like the .30-'06 for the same reasons.

I got one with the car. ~70mph Traffic got bunched up and it appeared between the lanes and chose me to try and run across. Got a new bumper, Radiator, condenser,... Way bigger than they look creepin' through the field.
