Was he trying to seduce me?

21 years ago, when I was 19, I remember my aunt's husband saying things to me that recently have got me wondering.
It wasn't very often that I saw my aunt and her husband but when we did meet for occasional family get together's he would go out of his way to make conversation with me. Every time he saw me he would remark on how much I looked like my mother, with the some of the same mannerisms and my laugh etc, others in the family would agree.

One new years eve, at another get together I found myself alone with him sat in the corner of the pub away from everyone else. I don't remember how we got on to the subject but he decided to tell me that years previously when they were young, before my mother and father got together, he and her dated for a while. I didn't really want to know that to be honest but he insisted on telling me this. He said that they never actually had sex and that he regretted that because he said she was really beautiful, etc.

Was this his way of sending a message to me given how he was always telling how much I looked like her?

Personally, from my own experiences, I think that if he was trying to seduce you he'd probably have been a bit more direct and done it in such a way that you'd have at least suspected at the time.

Are you just looking back with wishful thinking that he was actually trying to seduce you?

Would you have let him if he had been? Is being seduced by an older man a fantasy or something you like anyway?

You’ve inspired me so start a thread about this subject because it happened to me a fair bit when I was young and I liked it.
