The other day my daughter was talking with her friends and one of them asked about the agenda for this weekend. My daughter said that they voted to have another dinner at my house. (BTW, these kids range in age from 30-38. They are all attractive, bright and unattached and I just love being with them and having them over my home).

So, I am going to pick up an 18 pound turkey and tomorrow evening we will have a feast at my place. There will be lots of food and drink mixed well with warmth and love.

A moment ago my daughter called me to tell me that another of her friends heard about the feast and felt left out. No big deal. I'll just add another plate and we'll have 8 of us there for Sunday dinner. I can't wait!

Umm, Blue? Did I ever mention how much I love turkey??

Sounds like a wonderful day you have planned. Have fun and enjoy. :)

The joys of parenthood never end. I get calls from my daughters every two days and they always end with "I love you"
I love warm and fuzzy

Too risky

I'm getting out of this thread, diabetes runs in my family:eek: :p

Hi Thumbs2 just adding another av to my list of av's to lust over

lol

Thanks Shylady
Lord knows I have been lusting over yours for quite some time now. :p

FlamingoBlue, your daughter is very blessed to feel such love and acceptance in your home that she requests and spends time with you in such a way.

What about a Thanksgiving gathering of single Lit people? Central to a specific state maybe. Is this possible or would it be desired?
Even if it were only two or three, that could be a wonderful event.

Very nice -

When the kids actually vote to eat your food! Is that flattering or what? Have a ball....

Well, the turkey is in the oven....

The table is set and my house is filled with wonderful aromas. And there is a bg smile on my face. It really doesn't get much better than this.

That's what I was going to say. Sounds yummy. Eyeing my cold turkey sandwich and milk. Blech.

Not only that, but once you're done you can eat leftover turkey for days! Talk about cost saving!

:D
