Scientists predict a giant mega tsunami will destroy the east coarst of USA.

The island of La Palma (the Canary island) has an active volcano. The geologic structure, volcanic activity and the patern of eruptions are such that the half of island will slide into the ocean, resulting afore mentioned catastrophy.

It will happen, but when precisely it'll happen cannot be predicted. It can be the next eruption, or the one after that, or one after that. Most likelihood is it'll happen in the next hundred years or two.

Once it happens, you have eight hours or so for the wave to travel across the Atlantic.

I'd keep an eye on La Palma if I were you... Just in case.
