Wards of Darkness (pm me if interested in joining, please.)

Kat looked at parish." he loved me and i love him. he helps me though my fits Parish he cares about me. can't you see how happy i am. he is helping me and in my point of view you have no room to talk. you let him into your body he helped you." she grabbed her things and marched into room away from him.

Kat flew to her bed crying her eyes out feeling judged and ridiculed for her choice in a mate. a few hours it was dinner she refused to eat and just sat by the window looking out into the rain. show much she loved the rain it calmed her down but she was still very hurt by the words parish said. if she had a choice she would leave him alone. she thought about mylea and how rude she had been. she promised to join her for girl time but she was in such a depressed state that she had no desire to socialize with anyone.

Doubt soon settled in her mind. what if Parish was right. what if she was making the wrong choice, what if he hurt her and was just using her. she threw things in anger at the Doubt Parish placed in her hear.

"Hey there. Sally Mae, those are my legs." She knelt herself down on the floor. "There have been many wars since you were alive."

Her mind rushed with the thoughts that the girl was having. the lewd images danced in her mind. she could not feel it but she was sure that there was a bright blush on her face.

"I should probably change the music. Something slow? or something modern?"

Parish Green

Once he had dried off and had a chance to collect his thoughts, Parish felt awful about the way he had treated Katarina, fearing that he had destroyed any good faith he had built between them. He made her a meal and took it to her room, where she had locked herself in and found that she had no desire to even talk to him. He sighed, heavy hearted, knowing he had hurt her deeply. He write her a note and left it on her plate, hoping that hunger would make her come out and take the plate.

It read: Dearest Katarina, I am so very sorry for having hurt you. I should not have been so sharp with you. The only thing I can say is that it was done out of love and concern for your well being. You are right, Enumael helped me in my time of need when nothing else would, but at what price? He steals my body whenever he wishes and does what he wishes with it as I am locked away, helpless to do anything about it. Please, understand my fear for what he must be doing to you... Forgive me, do what makes you happy, but please, just be careful. With loving concern, Parish Green. "

Needing someone to talk to, himself, Parish went to Mylea's room, where he could hear her through the door, talking to herself, as she often did. But the things she said seemed off. Sally Mae? Her legs? Many wars? What was going on now? He immediately suspected Enumael's hand in this and lightly knocked at the door.

***********

Sally Mae

"Oh... I... I'm sorry Mylea... I shouldn't feel these things, I know, they are filthy, I try not to, but every time I..." Another thrumming rush of heat went to that place that always ached for some unknowable thing from her doctor made her gasp and moan before she could finish her thought. "Please, take the feeling away, I don't want to be bad, I don't, I don't!" Sally Mae begged, not wanting to take advantage of Mylea's trust in sharing her body with her.

"Many? How many? I trust we have always been there to win the day?" Sally Mae asked once she had regained her composure, wanting to learn about everything that had happened since she was alive, but she was very naive to think that America was always in the right.

Sally Mae seemed to debate what she wanted to hear, something slow and safe, or more of this music that could make her throb with need. She wanted to throb, but she was afraid that Mylea would get mad at her if she asked for more of her 'new' music. "What do you want to listen to?" She asked, finally, going the diplomatic route, secretly hoping Mylea would share another song that would make her feel alive again.

Mylea took the record off and flipped through the shelf.

"The three worst for sure were WW2, Vietnam and Korea. there is something going on now called the Cold War. But that has been going on as long as I know."

She found the record she was looking for. she lifted the needle once again and set the shiny vinyl down placing the needle letting Heart's Barracuda waft though the room

Sally Mae

"A second world war?! Oh, how horrible! How did we do? Vietnam? Korea? I'm not sure I know what those are... How can a war be cold?" Sally Mae asked as Mylea played another song. She started to giggle almost immediately over the licks of the guitar. "It sounds like a galloping horse!" She noticed before trying her best to listen to the lyrics.

Parish Green

Parish waited until he heard another record start to play and knocked again. "Mylea! Whats going on in there? Who are you talking to?" He tried the door, finding it unlocked. He opened the door a crack and peaked in. "Mylea?"

She could hear Sally in her head asking questions as she was startled by the knock.

"Oh I didn't hear you there Parish Green. I was lost in some thoughts.." She turned to face him. "Can I help you with something?" She studied him closely wondering if it was the demon of not.

Sally Mae

"Oh my, he is handsome for a man of color. Who is he? Does he work here? He looks familiar... I don't suppose he knew Doctor Smythe, did he? Oh, I'm sorry, don't you want him to know about me?" Sally Mae asked all in a rush.

Parish Green

Parish stepped into the room and looked around, no one was in the room with Mylea. "I didn't knock loud enough, I guess. Sorry. Are you sure you're alone, I thought I heard you talking to someone." His first thought was that Enumael might have entered her some how and she was talking to him. He had no idea about Sally Mae.

"Thoughts of war? I didn't know you were interested in such things, you always seemed to dislike them before." He was concerned about her, the way she looked at him made him feel like she didn't trust him and was trying to hide it. "Are you alright? Did I do something to upset you? You look as if you don't trust me, Mylea." He looked over at the chair pushed into her desk. "Mind if I sit down, these old bones have seen better days and I seem to have gone and got my feet wet somehow... They're dry now, but I still feel a chill in them."

He paused to listen to the song and flashed her a smile. "Oooo, Barracuda." He sang in time with the song.

Mylea smiled as he sang along.

"Parish?.... Is it really just you right now." She could feel a confidence in her voice and a clarity in her head even though the feeling in her body still was not there.

She whispered to sally internally. "I'm not sure about what you are talking about. It's just Parish Green. He is kind, although he has the demon thing in him.

Parish Green

Parish was very worried by Mylea's question. "Yes, It's me, Mylea, can't you tell?" Had he lost so much of himself that even Mylea coudn't tell where he ended and the demon within him began? "But I am sure 'he' is listening." He sunk to one knee and reached out to caress her cheek. "Mylea, my dear, can I trust you? Trust you to tell me what he does when he takes over my body?" He was desperate, he needed to know what kind of damage the other being inside him was doing to his patients, and to his reputation.

Sally Mae

"You mean he's the same man that saved me from the well? But he looks different now... He's... Colored... How kind can he be?" Sally Mae asked, a little afraid of him now that he didn't look like the heavenly being that had rescued her. She came from an era of wide spread segregation after all.

Sally Mae panicked a little when Parish went to one knee and reached out to touch Mylea's face, afraid that he was about to strike her. "Ah! Look out!" She cried out inside Mylea's mind, but it was too late, his hand made contact, but instead of the stinging bite of a slap Sally Mae only felt the gentle warmth of his caress.

"Oh.... Ohhhhh...." Sally Mae chirped and then whimpered softly, feeling the flutterings of arousal return like a flash between Mylea's legs. Sally Mae really was far to easily aroused, it would seem. More than two life times worth of repressed sexual desire could do that to a soul.

"Please. Its my body Sally Mae." The voice of the girl was confusing in her head. She could feel her heart start to beat faster. "what is happening? Calm down."

She turned her focus to Parish green. She could see him touching her her but the sensation of feeling had not been returned. Mylea let her hand drift over and rest gently on his arm.

"Parish Green. I will tell you what I can. I just dont want him upset with me. I see so clearly now." With that bit of feeling returned. The sensation was strange as she could sense Sally Mae becoming one with her even more fully. they were sharing sensations. she could feel the heat between her legs. Immediately a blush came to her face. She had never sensed anything like it before. Her mind had never been so clear to recognize it before.

Sally Mae

Sally Mae tried desperately to control herself, not wanting to make Mylea mad with her but she just couldn't stop the throbbing need building between 'their' legs from growing into a raging fire, the more they shared her body, the more it seemed they became one, the lines between them blurring.

Parish Green

Was there even a way to keep Enumael from knowing what he knew? Parish Green wondered. And why did it have to be him against the demon? If only he could just trust that he was doing the right thing. "Has he shown you any sign that he would hurt you?" It was then that he noticed Mylea's rosy cheeks. "Oh... Mylea... He hasn't... Touched you... Has he?" He was horrified by the idea that the demon might have used his body to sexually molest any of his wards.

Mylea took a deep breath trying to calm herself.

"No..It's just.."she had a hard time trying to decide whether or not to tell him about Sally Mae or not. "He still scares me Parish. But he helped me. My mind is clear. I'm not as lost."

She grabbed his hand tight

"I'm just not sure how long it will last."she twirled the locket with her free hand out of nervousness

"He scares me too..." Parish admitted, relieved that Enumael had not done anything to Mylea. "He... Helped you? How? What did he do? How do you mean? Cleared your mind? How?" He was happy for her, that she clearly had such clarity now, but he feared for her, what might the demon feel she owed him for his 'help'?

"Oh Mylea, I am happy for you, my dear, but be careful, okay? Don't let him do anything... unwholesome to you... Okay?"

He looked down at the locket that she was fidgeting with. "Whats this? Its lovely. Where did you find it?" He asked, trying to make conversation. This was the most clear headed he had seen Mylea in a long time and he didn't want to miss out on the chance to get to know her a little better. Maybe he could help her some more if she opened up to him about her past.

She stopped fiddling with the locket. How would she explain it.

"It was a gift...from a new friend. so was this comb." She reached back behind her and touched the delicate piece in her hair. "And I will be careful around him. I always have. But Parish..."

How would she explain that now she was two beings. she could feel the desire between her legs grow as thoughts came in from Sally Mae. Desires with the man in front of her.

"A new friend? Where is she? May I meet her?" He asked, entertaining Mylea's obvious delusion, no new patients had arrived since Katarina. He didn't want to risk her shutting him out just because he didn't believe her. "Good, good, that is all I can really ask of you. Just to be safe and try not to let 'him' harm you." He let out a sigh of relief that Mylea promised to be weary of Enumael. "Yes, Mylea?" He could see that she was struggling to tell him something else. "What is it? You can tell me. It's okay, my dear. Whatever it is, it will be just between you and I." He took her hands in his and squeezed them gently, showing his undying support for her well being.

Mylea took a deep breath. she could feel the panic start to set in. Two souls in one body. It was unnatural and he would think it was just her delusions and visions getting the best of her.

"Breath Mylea." Sally spoke out. "Tell him I'm here."

"I cant do that Sally Mae."

She could feel her vision tunnel in again. The clarity was leaving her in that instant. It was hard to focus. She kept her sight straight, focusing on his eyes in front of her. For the first time she hoped to see the redness of his eyes. She needed to stay clear in her thoughts. Be able to separate the visions from reality and not constantly hear the voices of the past and future mix in with her current reality.

"Parish...I need to see him." as she fainted into his arms

"Focus, Mylea, please, try. Who is Sally Mae?" Parish asked her as he saw the look of panic cross poor Mylea's face. He tried to keep her focus locked on him, but it was no use, she was fading out right there, in his arms. He caught her and kept her from falling, letting her slump against his shoulder. "Damn..." He sighed, feeling guilty that he had pushed her so hard she fainted. He picked her up in his arms and laid her in her bed.

He had heard her final request before she had passed out, and knew it was a mistake, but if she felt seeing Enumael was her only hope then he would let the demon take control. But not before kneeling at her bed side and sending a desperate and heart felt prayer to the god he thought had forsaken him to protect her and not let her come to any harm at the hand of the demon.

Then... He let go... And Enumael emerged. He turned his gleaming red eyes toward Mylea's vulnerable form and smiled. She had called to him in her own way and he would not deny her the gift of clarity she so desperately needed. But now, it would cost her something... Some sign of faith in him. Something he could feed on and grow stronger with.

He touched her cheek tenderly with the back of his hand and then placed a gentle hand upon her brow and whispered her name. "Mylea... Awaken and be well, my child." He commanded her, pouring some of his celestial energies into her mind to bring her around.

Mylea sat up in a jolt. The vision of darkness, blood and passion filled her head. She could see his past again. He must have touched her. for once she opened her eyes she came out of her tunnel and into a field of clarity

"Whats going on Mylea?" she heard the scared girl call out inside of her.

"Its gonna be ok Sally Mae."

She blinked slowly as she began to push herself up. Looking around she had realized that she was on her bed with Parish Green sitting next to her, touching her. she blinked again and noticed his eyes.

"Demon, what have you done to me?"

"I have only done what you desired of me, little one. You sough clarity of mind, did you not? Respite from the chaos of your own open and sensitive mind? I wish to only help you... Why must you call me Demon? I have never done anything to harm you, have I?" He asked her, his words sweet and soft, full of love. "I see you have become one with your friend, Sally Mae. Hello, child, can you hear me? There is no need to be afraid, I can help you, the both of you... Coexist and truly be one. Would you like that?"

the features in his face changed, almost softening. His aura glowed and twisted. Still the inky blackness but there was a shift. It was becoming lighter. warming. more trustworthy. Mylea could not draw her gaze from his eyes. the red in them was becoming alluring to her as the haze in her head lifted.

"I'm sorry I call you demon. I do not know what else to call you. You made Parish Green well again. He was so sick.." She grabbed his hands with hers. "there is something dark about you that I have seen since they day you two joined. It has unnerved me terribly."

She could feel a warmth in her, not something from her but from her friend as she smiled internally. Arousal washed though her body. A sensation she was not used to or had much knowledge of. The visions had distracted her for so many years.

"Please Sally Mae. Its hard to concentrate.."

"Enumael, please help us. I love having her around. Its confusing. I feel everything she does so strongly."

"Call me Enumael, for that is my name, little one." He instructed her gently. "I did, but Parish made a bargain with me to do so. I cleansed his body of all its ills so that he could share it with me." Enumael recoiled at the accusation of being something dark but recovered just as quickly, knowing that she must have sensed the absence of God within him. "That is unfortunate... With your gifts, you must see how my Father has stripped me of his light. I assure you, I am not evil... Just... Misunderstood." He frowned, knowing that he would have to elaborate. "Long ago, I stood up for someone that had led me astray from God's purpose and now I am paying the price for my foolish pride by being cast in eternal darkness."

The clashing of Mylea's will against Sally Mae's needs drew Enumael's attention back from the reveries of his past. He had something to offer the both of them. "I see, it must be a struggle for the both of you. Sally Mae has been trapped in a state of carnal need for so long that I fear she may never be able to control herself without being given fulfillment. Is that something you can consent to, Mylea? It is up to you, as she would need your flesh to experience it through. Can you trust me to be the one to give this to her, and to you?"

Mylea brought herself to sit on the edge of her small bed. The room seemed even more silent than usual. The heat in her body was taking over the power of her mind. Sally Mae's thoughts of sinful acts filled her mind. She could not see where one of them began and the other of them ended.

"I'm scared, but I want to help my friend. I have not ever felt anything like this before. Never desired anything before. "

Enumael could see that Sally Mae was ripe for the taking, her thoughts were vivid and rich with need, but Mylea still seemed uncertain. "It is understandable to be scared Mylea. I will be gentle, if you let me. Will you let me?" His voice was calm and soothing, but also deep and powerful. "Give yourself to me and you will know the heights of ecstasy, I promise you."

Mylea let herself try to relax. She knew Sally Mae needed this.

She brought her hands to his face letting her finger dance along the sides of his face. She looked him deep in the eyes. Again she could see him, his past and his fall, but she was shielding more from her this time.

It was like electricity on her fingertips as she became more and more bold with her movements, letting her hands rest along the back of his neck.

"I'm ready. Please be gentle. I have never done this before."

Enumael looked upon Mylea with unknowable love. She was one of gods children, willingly giving herself to him. It was a blessed thing. He closed his eyes for but a moment, reveling in the soft touch of Mylea's hands on his face. He felt her gift work its way through his mind. He shielded her from the worst memories of his fall, but he couldn't hide everything from her searching soul.

Her growing boldness surprised and pleased Enumael. "There will be pain, little one, but I will be gentle. First, I must bring Sally Mae forth, you will be united with her soul, the two of you shall become one. It is the only way you both will be able to experience what I am about to do."

He cradled the back of Mylea's head in one hand as he placed his other upon her brow and went searching for the synapses within her shared mind that were not yet united, correcting the connections so that both souls could feel, see, hear, smell and taste everything together as one being.

The only thing that remained separate were their individual thoughts. "There now, Sally Mae, you are one with Mylea now. Mylea, can you feel her?" Enumael rose up to his feet and guided their shared body back upon Mylea's bed.

Mylea was a more modern girl, but still very uncertain about her body or the feelings that Sally Mae caused her to feel. While Sally was just as innocent, she seemed much more open to her needs. Enumael took all of this into consideration as he sat next to the two lovely souls in one. He gazed down upon her with loving eyes as he slowly unbuttoned Mylea's shirt and drew it open to reveal her flat stomach and pert breasts, covered by a simple cotton bra.

He admired her body as he traced one gentle finger from her neck down to the hem of her jeans. "How does that feel?" He asked them both. Then, without waiting for an answer, bowed his head to place soft warm kisses upon her belly.
