Washington Post Shedding Hundreds Of Staff From Payroll After Trump Presidency And Covid Is The Reason For The Season

BY: EDDIE SCARRY
DECEMBER 22, 2023

“The first reaction was shock,” an anonymous Washington Post reporter said, referring to a recent round of forced buyouts for nearly 250 staff writers and editors at the paper. “The Washington Post had done so well — was so profitable in the years of Trump, of Covid, and was owned by one of the richest people in the world … We’re talking about a ‘baby and the bath water,’ sort of ‘shoot first, ask questions later’ approach that left people really confused.”

Shorter version: Life was pretty great at the Post when we could run non-stop hysterical coverage of Donald Trump and an uncontrollable virus that scared everyone just in time for the election! Plus, we had a billionaire backer who gave it all his blessing! Those were the days…

To be sure, nobody should celebrate when a person loses their income. And that’s why I’m just as sorry for all of them as they would be for me if I lost my job. (It’s okay to laugh.)

It turns out that fomenting racial divisions, hyping up a worrisome pandemic, and perpetuating the Russia-collusion fake out was just a short-term business strategy. Who could’ve known?!

More here on the downward slide of one of the biggest Democrat lie factories in America:

Well, it isn't as if they didn't do it to themselves.

Grandma! Your father lost the plot again!

240 Liars To Be Laid Off At The WaPo (Posted by Reichguide just a couple weeks ago)

SAD TROMBONE: The Washington Post is Laying Off Hundreds of Staffers

By Mike LaChance Dec. 1, 2023 9:00 pm

The Washington Post has been able to attain just half of the job reductions it needs to secure before the end of the year, the newspaper’s leadership said this week.

In a note to staff shared with multiple outlets on Tuesday, Post interim CEO Patty Stonesifer said the company had accepted 120 voluntary buyouts as it seeks to cut some 240 jobs across its newsroom.

The Post plans to resort to involuntary layoffs if it does not reach the 240 job threshold by the middle of next month, Stonesifer said.

“These layoffs would offer significantly less generous benefits than the voluntary package and will be consistent with prior layoff packages at The Post,” she wrote.

Senility is a sad trombone.

Just to clarify: this is the hack editorial writer's crocodile tears above. It is not Rightguide.

Rightguide will continue to support any and all setbacks to anything he perceives as liberals, including military actions conducted under the aegis of a Democratic president.

Some of them may become independent journalists with their own sites or substacks and find new job satisfaction in honesty, without corporate interference. Some may start new and more lucrative careers in making or repairing products that people use and need. If all of them can't function without corporate bosses, then there are plenty of jobs in fast food.

You on the other hand will continue to lie and misconstrue what I say to no effect. I will continue to disparage a mentally retarded President unfit for office and the Communists who are pulling his strings to the benefit of our enemies and elites and the detriment of our nation.

Awesome, that means the laughs I get at your stupidity will continue!!

The upside of AI.

Journalists are trained to write at a sixth-grade level (and it would seem, that for a lot of them, their thinking skills are substantially less) so bots are sophisticated enough to easily spew Left-wing crap in a mad-libs template/format that fits every story they write now. No people required at all. No Left-wing labor strikes or watching them abuse their sick pay benefits every time the Republicans do something popular. Just mindless bots doing remedial writing.

They've been being Beta-tested here for years now.

With Chat GPT you don’t need so many humans to produce fake news!
Everywhere AJ goes he's being replaced by technology 7 years running
He worked unloading trucks at Walmart distribution centers, they have robots doing that now.
He took orders at McDonalds, they now have kiosks in restaurants to do that.
In desperation, he took a contract job writing anti-USA diatribes for a nickel a post from a Russian fronted org and now he's been replaced by ChatGPT.

Good thing his worksquaw still has a job!

The crazy and hate in this place always takes me a little by surprise, but it does explain the Democrat Demographic.

You present me, or most any Libertarian or Republican "MAGA," with half a glass of water and we see it as half-full and thank you.

You present one of these fine, model American ~REAL~ Patriots with half a glass of water and you get accused of not giving them their fair share, you get a dressing down for oppressing them and then they go full ballistic accusing you of handing them a glass of piss and trying to poison the water they drink along with the air they breathe and the food they are forced to consume because people just won't adopt a soy (lent) diet...,

(And we're in epic, Titanic waters and that's just the tip of the approaching iceberg.)

All of the traditional "news" outlets are dying, or committing suicide depending on your POV.

Hmmm I wonder if we did a search of posts to see who uses the word hate more. Your RWCJ crowd, or the intellectuals who make up the rest of the posters here.
