...of the sporting kind. Hah!
My novel(la?) is the first in a series of three, so far I’ve written one and a half.
The category would be either Romance or Erotic Couplings; there’s quite a bit of sex in the first part of the novel but it’s mostly vanilla. The series is based in the UK and Europe, with a sporting background. It’s written in UK English.
What I would like is for some frank feedback on the first three chapters (currently running at just under 13k words for this section, there are 12-14 chapters altogether). I’d like feedback on my style, if it’s understandable (too much sporting jargon?) and is it worth continuing/submitting?
A quick response telling me if it’s okay would be appreciated (as I’m currently laid up and have a bit of spare time* to do some editing), a thorough edit would also be great.
I sent a couple of messages through to specific editors a few weeks ago but never heard anything back so that’s why I’m posting this; I hope to find someone who will enjoy the story and be able to give me unbiased feedback.
Umm...not sure what else more to say. Would love to hear from anyone who’d like to read it. I’ve had a couple of friends read it and they’ve told me to submit it ASAP but...well, they didn’t give me anything specific to work on and I feel there are weaknesses.
