Help, I would like to try out modeling. Nothing fancy, just like catalog or print ads. To old for anything else, heck maybe to old for that even. Anyway, any ideas on where to look or how to get started. I just think it would be fun.

Go to one of those local model/talent search companies? They come through my area a couple times a year looking for potentials.

I've been scouted twice this year for two different modelling agencies. I was just walking in the city when their talent scouts came upto me, asked me who represented me and gave me their card. I think one of them is an international agency, Trans Continental Talent. You might try looking them up on the web, then making an appointment with a rep.

Check your local yellow pages for modeling agencies in your area. Don't bother with those expensive modeling schools. While their classes are fun and they teach you some helpful things, they are unnecessary. Some agencies will require you to purchase head shots while others will not. Shopping for an agent is like shopping for a car. Check everyone out and go with the best deal. It's easy to get ripped off and taken advantage of in the modeling industry so use your commone sense, keep yourself informed and grow a very strong backbone. This is no job for pathetic victims.
