'Walmart Moms' lament 2016 options

The Walmart moms have spoken, and they’re predicting Hillary Clinton will win the White House in November.
That was the consensus — at least among 20 women brought together in Columbus, Ohio, and Phoenix, Arizona, on Tuesday night for focus group discussions about the 2016 presidential campaign.

The women, all mothers who shop regularly at Walmart, were asked for a show of hands on which candidate they thought would win the White House in November. Five actually said they’d be voting for Trump, but no one spoke up to say they thought he would actually beat Clinton in the general election.
POLITICO and more than two dozen other reporters observed the focus groups — sponsored by Walmart and organized by Republican pollster Neil Newhouse and his Democratic partner Margie Omero — via video conference.
Nearly all of the women — identified only by their first names and initials of last names — expressed frustration with the negative tone of the race, the media’s horse race coverage and their options for candidates.
Here’s a sample of their comments:
Who are you voting for? “I, morally in good conscience, could not vote for either one of them.” Joanna B., 30, a homemaker leaning toward supporting Libertarian Gary Johnson. (Phoenix)
