How good the stories are.
At the end of each story, if it has voting turned on, are five blank stars.
Moving your cursor across them will make them turn to gold. If you click on the fifth one, you will have voted a five. If you click on the fourth one you will have voted a four.
Anything less than a four should be voted only if you think the story is really bad - not just that it doesn't appeal to you - but it is badly written, badly plotted or just incoherent. Votes of three, two or one really damage the rating of a story and can outweigh several good votes.
