Voting Question

My computer is run off of a network with two other machines, my husbands and my room mates machines. My question is, if all three of us decide to vote on a story will they eventually call Laurels attention as a fradulent vote? Maybe its a stupid question, but i'm curious how it works with networks, or if it works at all with networks, or what not.

The reason i ask is because i am putting a story in a contest, and my room mates will be voting and i dont want those votes taken away I hope that makes sense. heh.

Anyhoot, thats my question.

I don't know, honestly. My friends have computers hooked up to the same thingy and I asked both of them to vote, and I think they did but I don't know what happened with that.

Shrug I say just go for it and if the vote gets deleted, no HUGE loss.

The short answer is "it depends".

There are several ways to network computers together.

I have a cable modem at home. All of my home computers "hide" behind it -- it matters not which computer I'm on, they all look like the same computer to the network. (thus, my wife cannot vote on my stuff ...hmmm, maybe that's a good thing

This style of networking is common for home use.

Best thing to do is try. (pick a random story and try to vote. See if you get the immediate message "you have already voted"
